Do you think that lyrics have a strong influence and/or effect on their listeners? Take for example these lyrics from Dogs by Pink Floyd "You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to, so that when they turn their backs on you, you'll get the chance to put the knife in." This song is basically about a ruthless businessman. I gotta say that a love this song, both musically and lyrically, but I'm certainly not a ruthless businessman. In fact, I'm basically just some lazy bum :> LOL

I think not always but they can...depending on the person, their state of mind etc.
