Title: Who thinks the UFC's presentation of fights is elementary or ghetto?
Post by: AC Slater on May 11, 2010, 08:48:38 AM
I am talking about the atmosphere of the arena.  The lighting, layout etc. all looks elementary to me.  Pride had the most awesome entrances and lighting.  It looked professionally done and made the whole pay per view better.

Also, the videos the UFC plays beforehand when the fighters are talking about the fight look poorly done.  They look like something a highschool camera crew would come up with.

Rogan is a good announcer.  I didnt like his voice at first because it is kind of high pitched, but he does know his shit I will give him that.  Mike goldberg on the other hand is fucking terrible the way he over-sells punches and fighter's abilities.

I'm being serious here...If you want spectacular entrances, you might want to tune into WWE or TNT. Those are pretty entertaining ;D

I would much rather the 'airtime' be used for fights. Why waste 15 min. watching some fighter try and show his dancing and entertainment skills, especially when you are most likely paying for the fights?

I do understand your point though...some of the Pride stuff was pretty spectacular on an entertainment level.

I like Rogan...He knows the sport very well, and nobody else could ever get away with what he says sometimes. He's pretty candid.

Goldberg is hard to listen to, and creepy to look at. If you watch him, all he does in nod his head when he is interviewing or commentating with someone.

But to keep it in perspective, the UFC could have those clowns at Strikeforce doing it and we would all want Goldie back.

They're trying to be the WWE.

On the surface it's pretty watered down and simple, but I think that is the business model they set for it actually.

IMO if UFC were to try to deploy a "pride" style of ceremony, entrances...etc..they'd go broke simply becuase it was never part of the original business model. It could turn out to be an overwhelming expense for them.

In other countries, they'd truely appreciate it. In the states, fans want to see blood. As long as there is blood and alcohol..they are fine.

The current presentation/format is boring to me, but that's my opinion. Average UFC fan could care less, they want carnage. Nothing more..nothing less.

This is true, unless were talking about WeightPSHR, he just wants Dana's sweaty bean bag.

I keep telling you not to let me get in your head so much....

How do you find time to even post on here, being the superstar PRO MMA fan that you are?

How many events did you attend this weekend? Did you have to fly across the country too?

I only go to Texas events, I'm probably not hitting up vegas till late fall or early winter.  You want proof, it's here.  Just dig it up, that's how you get all of your UFC related info older than 1 year anyway since you are abviously a TUF newb that has only been hugging Dana's hairy canary for a short amount of time.  You make up for your newb nutthuggery by the strength of your grip on Dana's junk.

I will give you credit....you sure know a lot of 'dick-N -ball' lingo'.

Like I said before, I don't care if you just started watching MMA today, or 10+ years ago.

This is the internet, you can be whomever you want to be.

Just don't let me get in your head so much. It almost makes me feel guilty.

Guilty of what?  being a guy? everyone on here knows it already.  You turned heel on this forum a long time ago with your nutthuggery, your like the Koscheck of this forum (minus having any real fighting ability).

Then why do you spend do much time following me around to argue :o

On top of all that....you waste your time typing more 'Dick N Ball' comments then anything else.

I already asked you once, but you failed to tell me, where did you learn so much 'Dick N Ball' lingo?

You post something that showcases your love for Dana's crotchial region (which is literally just about every post you have ever had), then I chime in and disagree with your blind bias (if someone hasn't beat me too it already), and there is no dick comments, you're a guy remember  ::)

You need to at least be a man and stand up for yourself. I make you look like a chump all day long. All you can ever come up with is 'Dick-N-Ball' talk.
Stand up for yourself, show me how much you really know and debate like the educated super-star MMA fan you claim to be.

Let's face it...nobody is truly right or wrong on here. You just got to prove your point once in a while. It's all opinion on here, unless stated otherwise.

Get used to me, I will continue to be the object of your postings for a long time to come, unless you come to terms with my views :o :o
