I met a girl recently at a gym and asked her if she competed.  she said she had done some bikini contests and was preparing for a figure competition coming up mid summer.

She actually has a shot at going "pro" in the figure division, which is her goal.  She wont be required to take drugs, etc. to do it either.

Now, for men, if we want to go "pro" in Bbing, you gotta take all types of drugs under the sun in order to do it.  women can turn pro in figure naturally, but men have to take drugs to even be slightly competitive.  doesnt seem fair.

It would be cool if there were no drugs, and everyone was on an equal playing field.  It would allow average guys who work extremely hard to have a shot at going Pro in this sport.  Instead, the average guy doesnt havea  chance unless he starts taking drugs and learning how to use them well.

It just sucks for us naturals.  anyone else feel this way?

Dude "figure" ain't bodybuilding.

There is mens fitness competitions that equals female fitness, you basicly have bone dry guys on stage doing gymnastic moves and volts and splits and everything...

good luck. You make it sound like anything under 250lbs is soooooo easy  ::)

All IFBB Figure girls are on something...maybe not to the extent of the dosages of male or female bb'ers, but they are on.  don't kid yourself

LOL,maybe.
Fair or not since most of the current BB drugs are androegnic a female is going to take on male characterics in her appearense if she really gets into juicing. A guy will look massive and like a cartoon super hero but look very masculine .
Figure girls use hair dye and boob jobs to enhance their appearence as well.
To me, the LEGAL issue is the big question and problem.

They really have men's fitness contests still?? Seems like a skinny queer contest, eventhough many of them could give Zane in his day a run for his money

There is definitely drugs in Fitness. I have witness it first hand with some of the higher competitors. I don't think its a prerequisite like it is in bodybuilding, but most of the higher caliber fitness girls, are on some minor doses of light compounds like Anavar, Whinny, primo, etc.

Clenbuterol is far and away the biggest drug in fitness, and the one most commonly used.

my point exactly.  it still goes on in figure comps, but it is NOT absolutely necessary to do well.  In men's bbing, it is everything.

Excuse me...where I said fitness in that last post, I meant to say figure.

Although it may not be a prerequisite, it is still going on a lot more then you might think.

That being said Figure is a joke, and shouldn't be taken seriously whatsoever. If anyone thinks that the judging criteria is nebulous in Bodybuilding, it is almost incomprehensible in figure.

Sure its a double standard, does it make it right or wrong, I don't know but in the same breath, lets discuss the HUGE difference in the prize money between the men and women

what are you even talking about.....the reason  there is a disparity in the prize money.......IS CAUSE NO ONE BUT AS FEW SEXUALLY DEVIANT SCHMOES CARES ABOUT FEMALE BODYBUILDING.

it simply is not a draw

some of your opinions make me wonder if you might be retarded ::) ::)
