2007 vs 2010.
Did Dennis steal your lunch money or something ? ???
-
He is looking kinda leathery and strange. He used to look impressive and awesome. Now he just looks mediocre. 12th place in the next competition.

not yet.
the reason he looks so marked different in the two pics (apart from the calf issues) is that in the first pic he's drier and fuller. were he as dry and as full in the second pic nobody would be saying anything about how he's finished. he missed his peak for this show- if you've ever competed you'd know how remarkably easy it is to do.
but the more i look at it the more odd he does appear. i cant tell if his skin is leathery because he didnt fill out, or if he is indeed headed down that road.

He's fired everyone else, probably time to fire himself.
He's overthinking his contest prep. Too many crazy theories and probably crazy regimens. It's not that difficult. Rest up, eat huge, train hard. Then restrict calories, do a few drugs and come in fresh looking.
Looks like he trained 9 hrs a day in the '10 photo.

2010's face looks ghastly.
-
Looked better as an amatuer
-
Best Days are behind him but the pics still exist

Amazing pics :o

He totally fucked himself up, probably overdid it with the drugs.
-
He won't recover.
-
I think when he has that deep dark tan he looks like a fucking fool.
When he's pale he looks normal and healthy.
-
Truly amazing physique in these photos. It's sad to see how his body has degenerated since then.
-
only thing letting him down here is that calves could be bigger but everything else looks awesome

Who was it who said Wolf was all hype? ::) All I remember is that it was someone of a darker skin colour...

If you look at pics of Dennis Wolf from 2007 or earlier you can hardly say he was all hype. He delivered and should have won the 2007 Mr. Olympia. The problem is that after said show his physique started to regress.

MR.O 2007 was awesome. Dennis really stood out from the rest looking huge and full. And no dark tan.

Did you guys see this, Wolf's excuse for his poor showing? Didn't see any posts about this. Blames the guru, no surprise there. Guru was out of bananas. :D
Well, I will tell everyone the truth: I am done with gurus. I think it is too easy to become dependent on them, and then if they are not there when you need them the most, things can turn out very badly for you. This was my experience last year at the Olympia, and this weekend in New York I once again had problems with my trainer - now my former trainer.
In the days coming into the show, I was looking crazy. Diet was good, shape was good, everything. But by Saturday night, I was not full enough. If you are not full, your muscles lose their shape and hardness...you don't look so ripped, you lose striations - this is what happened to me. What this tells me is that I didn't eat enough during the carb-loading phase. Looking back now, I was always hungry during carb-loading; this should not happen. You should be eating so much that you don't want any more; but I was always hungry, and still my trainer told me not to eat more. This was a mistake.
After pre-judging, we saw I was a little flat, and my trainer told me to eat some rice and a banana. I said, "I don't have any more bananas." He said this was ok; maybe I should eat a burger. This is the one night we have been working so hard for, and he is not sure what advice to give me? I will be honest - I was very upset. :D
What I ended up doing is eating about 600 grams of dry cake between pre-judging and finals. I filled up a little bit, and looked much better for the finals. So, third place is ok for now. I know what happened, and I know what I have to do now. What's done is done; I can't change it. But from now on, I will do everything by myself. I have had enough of the gurus. I know what works; I won the German Championships, I won the World Championships, and I turned pro doing everything myself. So I will go back to what I've done in the past.
Honestly, I think I could have taken second place. But I am happy for Hide; I know him and he is a good guy, and he deserves his success. I also want to say congratulations to Roelly; to win a show in your first year is fantastic.
I would also like to thank BSNŽ for all their support. They've been unbelievable to me, and I really appreciate everything. Thank you guys very much.
Well, this week I am just going to train my legs a little bit. I will have five weeks off, and then I will begin my prep for the Olympia. I think it's a good amount of time in between; I will be ready. This weekend was not a bad start, but I am still determined to show everybody what I can do.

I think he was real dry, or rather real dehydrated for the NY Pro. He wasn't as lean as he should have been and I think he took tons of diuretics to compensate. You can't be real full doing that of course. Just wasn't quite lean enough. But I agree, he was real close to hitting peak form.

Wolf is claiming he got destroyed by cake and bananas. LOL so much better than the stomach flu.

Van B,
What do you think happened to Toney Freeman? Personally i had him over wolf and together they both ended up losing to the jap?????
-

Based on the pics I would've picked Freeman over Wolf as well. The one pec is the only real weakness. Better bb than Hide, maybe not on this night though. Olympia winner structure.

Victor Martinez should have won the 2007 O.
