Check out how Ireland's unemployment rate has gone from 4.6% in 2006 to 14% in 2010 and you'll see why no one is defending them. Even while Ireland was poised to make tremendous economic gains on the world stage. ;)

Well, we all give the governments free money all the time. It's called taxes.
So they're, technically, not panhandling, they're just getting some of THEIR OWN cash back.
