see i too prefer the look of the guys from the 70's and 80's over what we see today.
however, i dunno- i would put nubret, and lee labrada's physiques ahead of mawkawwy's (sp) in terms of symmetry.

Great condition, but he looks extremely short with stubby limbs.

his gyno isn't really helping your case...
make that photo black n white (and make him a bit smaller) and claim for it to be old school and everyone would be "OMG THATS THEY WAY THEY SHOULD LOOK LIKE TODAY BLA BLA BLA BLA" there are still guys with amazing classical lines today, no one just talkes about them. most of them probably aint in the ifbb either
just look at the bodybuilding Classic comps from europe where there is a height to weight ratio limit.

Posting pics of "men" debating how other "men" are "nearly perfect"

Sometimes you have to look beyond the blobs of shit that exist today.
thats a bodybuilder...
whats exists today is a game of "how many places i can find to stick myself in" gone horribly wrong
-
Gyno is barely noticable, it's still a great shot. ???
its the same typ of shot people are Praising in the "i wish bodybuilds still looked like they did in the 80's" but when they have it infront of them today, they ignore it.
-
Yep, typical 'old guy nostalgia' over the "golden days" ;D LOL
yep... ignorance at its finest

Labrada is 5'6" and Makkaway is 5'2". Labrada's body looks conspiciously smaller in proportion to his head. His legs look shorter in proportion to his upper body.
It never ceases to amaze me, that in bodybuilding, individuals can have horrific shortcomings yet be considered "genetically superior" or aesthetic.
Most, if not all, individuals over 6' tall would rather stay that height than be roughly a foot shorter and have all the muscle in the world.
I can completely see Nubret as aesthetic and symmetrical, however.

yeah, gyno barely noticeable.

indeed

No, you can call ignorance only if haven't seen the other side of how they train and what they took to get there. Fortunately for me, I've been involved in this industry for the past 35 years and have almost seen it all, from training with Makkawy when I was 17 to watching todays crop of lazy bastards "workout" (there IS a difference between "working out" and actually training) almost on daily or weekly basis and depending on gear and not training to "make it". Ignorance was your quote!

In my opinion, after Arnold, Bob Paris was the greatest Bodybuilder:

a clean (in terms of the look) and for the most part attainable physique right there.
wouldn't happen over nite- maybe after about 7-10 years (or more) of steady training and the right combinations of anabolics and GH.
it's nice to see pics like this and know that if someone who even had average genetics put the time in he could build a somewhat similar physique. i think thats what i liked so much about the 80's- the physiques weren't so out of reach (no homo).
heres another one- a little more difficult to attain, need better than average genetics, put a little more time in, and maybe have to up the dose a bit. but for someone close to 5'10 and 235-240 he had clean lines, and a look that almost seems within reach in comparison to what we are seeing today...

no offense "no one" but from what I've seen of you, you need to lower your expectations.. if I were you I would slap a pic of Charles Atlas on my mirror and aim for that in like 10 years.

The new Flex Wheeler. That pic of Richard Jones is shrunched, giving him extreme proportions, but he is flawless in that pose nonetheless.
Mohammed was good, but wasn't he like 165 and how tall.
-
Reminds me a bit of Flex Wheeler back in the day.

no offense taken. had you seen my pics then perhaps i would be offended. but since you have not i cannot blame you for thinking that either of the two physiques i have presented are a quantum leap from where i am now.
i think charles atlas would be a goal more worthy of yourself? i doubt you'd hold much more lean muscle than he did in his prime once you have stripped all your baby fat off, provided you even can- no offense.
regards,
"no one"

I suppose Rory Leidelmeyer pics are in order?

we'll, that's a far more lucid and well thought out response than i had originally anticipated from you.
guess it really doesn't say much about you, now does it?
congratulations for living up to my failed expectation of you, fatbody.

You think he takes PEDs? But on a serious note, he looks fantastic. Best build on a new pro in God knows how long. Is he doing any shows this year? He could win some 2nd tier shows I think.

i think he looks great. great lines and fullness. well balanced. the gyno has gotta go.
-
the competitors from the 80s and early to mid 90s are the best.......Shawn Ray, Rory, Samir, Makkawy, Haney...... all are head and shoulders above what we see today on stage. IMHO
