Title: PAPELBUM
Post by: njflex on May 17, 2010, 08:14:42 PM
the savior  of the redsox nation coughs up 2 big homeruns in the 9th to give the yanks a nice win,on a side note dice k as usual has no command,2 many pitches and as i said to body 88 a bust.the yanks have a nice bench,2 good hitting catchers and defense to spare, even have injuries like the bosox but still manage to win .sox are going down rather nicely already.

Dude, honestly, you're making a fool out of yourself. You sound like your shouting off the top of a run down triple decker in the bx.

I don't care that the Redsox suck this year. Infact, I could care less. It's amusing how serious you take this whole thing, lol.

Stop worrying about the Redsox and how they are doing all the time. Focus on the great season the Yankees are having. You sound so insecure and retarded.

Ha-ha, just spoke with my old college roomate (who is a big Yankees fan) and it reminded me of this thread.

The Sox, playing like shit, just getting guys like Cameron and Ellsbury back from injury, are a whole 2 games behind the MIGHTY new york yankees, who according to NJ Flex aka Bezerkfury, are the best team in basbeall (right now, the Rays are clearly a far superior team to the Yankees and everyone else)...and the sox had no chance of catching the MIGHTY yankess.

It's a good thing there is baseball in NYC, it's not like there are any other teams worth watching.

From dead and gone to 2 games back, on the upswing, and right back in it. Epic fail of a thread.

Lmao, the sox are now 1 game behind the melting Yankees, with a far better road record over the last 20 games (15-10 vs 15-15). Keep in mind, this is with several starters on the dl.

The Sox #5 starter has the best record in basbeall, ha-ha. Hows that pitching depth look now?

The sox have comparable offensive stats!

Epic fail of a thread.

What? Which pitcher has the best record in baseball? Looking at their pitching roster, there is no one even close to being the best pitcher in baseball. Or are you honestly trying to insinuate that the Sox #5 starter is better than Jimenez in Colorado? What an epic failure. Yeah, you're not biased. LOL.  ::)

Never mind that Boston has allowed 45 more runs than the Yanks and has a MUCH worse home record, which is what really matters come playoff time as whoever wins the AL East is going to win home-field advantage at this rate.

Excuse me, the second most wins in the MLB, and tied for the best record in the AL.  You talk trash about the sox pitching, yet their depth is really paying off right now. The sox number 5 starter with more wins than CC, ha-ha.

Imagine that, the sox have allowed 45 more runs than the Yankees, have a worse home record, and they are only a game out! Just goes to show you how badly you overrated the Yankees. Imo, the sox will keep improving. They have key guys on the DL right now.

According to you, the mighty NY Yankees pretty much had the season all wrapped up.

You start these stupid threads then act like a little bitch when someone comes back at you.

I didn't even start this thread and had posted nothing more than a smiley in response to Calvin's post. The only other thread I've started was about an ESPN article, not something I wrote. Although Boston is hardly a good team this year. They beat up on god awful AL teams and lose to the good ones. I'll be eagerly awaiting their August collapse.

You look retarded for making this thread. I'm not going to rehash why, it's all there in plain view. Sox could overtake the Yankees at any point and then you'd look even dumber.

Haha, no, although he does seem like a solid poster. Unfortunately (or fortunately), Ron hasn't approved any gimmick accounts I've made since he made me choose between them or this account.  :'(

body88 fails to realize that hughes 7-1 and pettite 7-1 and say lackey and beckett combined don't have 7 wins.

Let's not forget that the Yanks have arguably the best player in baseball right now in Cano.  ;)

Funny how you can't type a coherent sentence above, yet string together a perfect one here. Nothing worse than a gimmick account. Man up.

You goofs are OBSESSED with the Red Sox ::)

Bottom line, the Sox (with all their flaws) are a whole game out (at the time of my reply) from your mighty Yankees, who you claimed to be the best team in baseball, and who you claimed had left the Sox in their dust. Shows how good the Yankees are, ha-ha.

That makes this thread a fail and you a butthole.

Lol @ this thread.

I wonder if the Yankees could have won 89 games WITHOUT three of their best players.

In the end, the MIGHTY Yankess only won 7 more games than a Red Sox team with a RASH of injuries to key players.

Another first round bow out by the Yankees.

Btw, I am well aware the Red Sox stunk up the joint this year and I don't give a shit!

Second round.

The Yankees had Jorge Posada and Andy Pettitte out for two months.  Swisher missed time, ARod missed time, their DH and #2 .400 OBP hitter missed a full year.

The sox season boiled down to poor performances by Lackey, Beckett, Paplebon, and their bullpen.  If those performed up to their ability, the sox may have made the playoffs, due to getting more than expected from Beltre, Ortiz, and Buchholz.

Either way, it's Pats / Giants time!
