Title: God Bless America
Post by: Wiggs on May 19, 2010, 07:20:26 PM
I got the pleasure of meeting a 91 year old WWII vet today.  As you may or may not know, I'm a 10 year vet in the Air Force myself.
I was in a grocery store and notice an older gentleman walk by with his hat decorated with various military pins.  I struck up a conversation and he told me he was in the Army in WWII and Korea.  He's 91, his wife is still alive and he's living the dream in the good ol' USA.  He can't drive anymore cause he can't see that well but I would have never guessed 90s or even 80s. It got me choked up thinking of the experiences he must have endured that we just read about in history books or watch on television.  I thanked him for his service and told him I could only wish to live as long as he and look so good.  He thanked me for my service and we went our separate ways.  It was really awesome and made my day and even had a tear go down my cheek...

AMERICA FUCK YEAH... 8)

This post is a tribute to the nazis in the 2nd world war. They had to invade Europe and kill the jews. They also faced the russians. They didn't even have fancy nucular bombs to destroy cities and kill civilians with.

i heard today on radio that us sent a old guy who was a naturalized US citizen out of country because he was a guard at a nazi prison camp.  Big fuckin deal, the guy was just doing his service like the ww2 vet did as well.  He enrolled in his countries military and fought like a good soldier, why fuckin send him out of US ????  Seems more like a politcal move than anything, if anything send these fuckin illegal mexicans back to mexico not a old ww2 nazi vet.

also you do know the US had prison camps and experimented on people as well right???  It just isn't in the books because that wouldn't look good.  US paid Japanese scientist's who were torturing their own people to experiment on humans while being paid by US.  This was after they captured them in WW2, use them to develop bio weapons etc, yeah god bless the disgusting pile of self righteous USA, writing it's own history a day at a time.

I'm sure he can identify with the pain of a closted homosexual muslim like yourself. Maybe you can become pen pals with him... In my world you'd be first in line to experience the the pleasures of zyklon-b. I'd send a mobile gassing unit to your house and you'd stand outside of it naked and humiliated knowing what awaits you... After your cremation your ashes would be flushed down a toilet like the human shit that you are. Enjoy the rest of your day. :)

I choose not to think of every old white man as a racist.  Things were different then. Kind of like how many of us, myself included used to hate on homosexuals...Some still do, I don't.

Black culture in the US is pretty crazy. Hip hip culture and the whole "Hey yo wazzup niggah." and everything else about it.

I grew up around it and it seemed so normal to me. Now after being away from it, when I see it again it just looks absolutely ridiculous.

When I first moved back to Hawaii I got a job at The Vitamin Shoppe. This old guy use to come in all the time and get some supps. Eventually we started talking more I learned that he was a WW2 vet. He met his future wife when he was 17 and she was 16 and got married when she turned 18. They've been married ever since. At this time his wife was in the hospital and bed ridden. He drove to the hospital every day, every single day, to spend time with her. At my request he brought pictures of her. Those old black and white numbers that they had in those days. She was quite a beaut. He'd tell me how things were like duing the war. Some of his experiences. The close calls, watching friends die by your side, the fun times, the hard times when they didn't eat or drink for days.

I'd always get a little bit choked up after he would leave. Really exposed how inadequate I am as a man in comparison. How far as a society and culture we have fallen. This skinny, frail and grizzled old man just exuded class, integrity, dignity and honor. He inspired me to want to be a better person. But also made me realize that his kind are all just about gone.

If we fought the Germans and the Japs the way we fight the Muslims now we wouldn't have stood a chance.

don't pop a vein, I have a similar story to urs, except visa versa. I'm caucasian 100% my self but i was adopted to a interracial couple... the father, the interracial side of the couple talked 7 languages like his own and didn't have any annoying accents and he hated people who would consider him "brother" because they would share the same features physicly... no one actually considerred him foreigner when he openned his mouth.

Cool story Wiggs. My grandfather who is also a WWII vet is still alive. We have to tell him to watch his mouth around Japanese people also because he will refer to them in the same context as above. He's one of the few I know that would sit us down as kids and tell us (in graphic detail) war stories.  He still won't ever leave his house without a .45 in the center console ;D
