at one time I had a fleeting interest in training neck, so at my apartment's gym i would take a dumbell, lay down on a bench, and hang my head over the end and leift my head up, using my neck....I then got bored with this
A few months ago, i had noticed that while lying in bed, and pushing my neck back on the pillows, Iwas actually working my neck---i found out as my shirts got tighter in the collar---I was doing nothing else...Has anybody done this before---i guess this is type of neck bridge?

Yes.
What you described sounds analogous to a type of wrestler’s bridge, and they are very effective for building strength & size in the neck.

Congrats to Parker, he has discovered the benefits of short ROM training., As so many Pro's have for increased muscle size (and with moderate weight). Something like the TUT effect. In fact I can't ever remember seeing a truly huge guy doing any full ROM on any exercise. Maybe in the old day, like the 60's and 70's but not today.
Always though that the neck and lower pecs were the easy muscle to develop anyway. Good Luck.

I bought one of thoes neck harnesses at iron mind. They take a bit of practice to use productively. Starting light is very important if you're not used to such isolation. You can pull and fuck shit up going heavy too soon.
Heavy sit ups (1 - 5 RM) works the neck too.

Thanks, I used to train traps a lot as well, and they were REAL easy to grow--to easy in fact...I wished my arms would that way.
