VIRGINIA ATHLETE LANDS SPONSORSHIP
BY INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKING COMPANY
WARRENTON, VA, June 1, 2010 – International social media networking company Physiquebook has signed a one-year athlete endorsement contract with pro football hopeful and Warrenton resident Nick Schrank.
Physiquebook (http://www.physiquebook.com), a rapidly growing recent start-up founded by Canadian entrepreneur Matt Tsinkorang, is a social network connecting fitness, bodybuilding and sports athletes with one another online. Fitness enthusiasts are offered free membership and the ability to upload photos, publish training logs, customize their profiles, find that special someone on their dating page, shop for all the latest and greatest supplement products in their marketplace, and further interact with members on their new message forums!.
“Physiquebook’s support will help me both pursue my dream of playing professional football and connect me with other athletes and fitness enthusiasts,” Schrank said. “I’m grateful for Physiquebook’s support and look forward to attending professional football tryouts across the country, giving me the chance to perform on field, in front of the coaches.”
The sponsorship also will support Schrank’s ongoing training and branding efforts as well as his video blog, which creatively chronicles his journey to professional football online at http//www.nickshrank.com.
Nick will make his first sponsored appearance at the Elite Pro Football Combines on June 6th in Atlanta, Ga.
Nick was born and raised in Warrenton, attended Fauquier High School, and graduated from Radford University. He currently trains at the Parisi Speed School at Warrenton’s Old Town Athletic Club.
McKinsey Development, Inc., Schrank’s exclusive marketing and public relations firm, negotiated the sponsorship.

Have you blown him yet, Matt ???
-
Dude, I graduated from Radford in 05, and they had a Rugby team. The football team started last year and it is CLUB football. Radford has no team.
-
This is probably a bad move for him! chances are the 1 tub of whey protein and 2 free tshirts are not worth the freedom and flexibility that he is giving up.
He would be better off accepting random friends requests on facebook

but think of all the johns who will message him lol
-
the guy is a media machine - he is on literally everything social media, he has high quality videos out there. No team wants him currently, that eye injury he had and his 40 time is just too high for a linebacker... Still, good luck to him. He's hustling.

It's not the 40 time.
He weighs 210 lbs (way to small for a lb) and played at a tiny school.
I hope he makes it, though.

I wonder what the terms are of the deal are.

A no talent loser signing with a nobody?
Does anyone actually use physiquebook (*physiquebook*, jesus, the name makes me cringe)? A straight up rip off of facebook concept, which everyone already uses. WTF?
*Draft Eligible* The fact that the guy is *eligible* for the draft, but no one has drafted him, doesn’t that mean that he should find a day job? I don’t know shit about football.
This thread is sad.
-
wow, I didn't catch his weight... way skinny dude. great ambition though, should find a home in football, even if not in nfl
-
if you do a search on "biceps and cock lust", you'll find all the members of physique book on facebook, so it's kind of redundant.
-
210 lbs?
He should lie.
-
This guy is kidding himself if he believes he is going to make it in the nfl as an under sized safety who runs a 4.88 forty.

How much will you pay me to post there Matt? I'm not cheap but I can be had.
-
He's trying out for the NFL, CFL, and UFL. Physiquebook is just trying to help athletes achieve their dreams, PB will be bringing other athletes on board soon. Just like sponsoring a bodybuilder as an amateur, its not guaranteed that they will turn pro. Its just that we'll both benefit from this, he's very proactive as 240 says he's everywhere marketing himself, and now he will be promoting physiquebook along the way. The guy has talent, and works hard, don't hate on him for trying to make it.
-
I am happy to hear of the increasing popularity of physiquebook!
-
I like to watch him beat off.
-
I'm "draft eligible" too.....maybe I need a better agent?

Matt, is this a joke? you don't just try out and make the NFL! there are a million and one division 1 school athletes out there. Not many people go un-drafted and make the NFL at line backer. Perhaps as a skat back, maybe, and even those guys have amazing 40 yard times. Or some kicker that changed sport from soccer.
the real question is, when we he up the dosage and start to compete in bb? and please don't tell us that he thinking about MMA ::)
-
special teams,at least he could make squad.

I played soccer at the barcelona Youth Academy for 6 months..

hahah
Hey matt how long before you take this company public? You can probally raise about 50 dollars after underwriters fee's...
The shares can sell for .00001 per share...
-
I don't know maybe once we reach a million users, i'll think about it.
-
lets assume it catches on in its' genre. if it had a user base of 500k n revenues....what would it be worth to MD, Flex, bbing.com or another fitness group? that's where its' worth is if MattT and the crew behind it have any clue. 5k users right n no revenues so they got their work cut out like any social network which isnt attached to anything.
-
its gotta be said knowing lineman 100lbs heavier run the forty faster by a tenth of a second :D

we're 4 months in, around 6000 members, i think MD has around 103,000 members been around what 5+ years online?. MD is limited to bbing and fitness, has not tapped into sports. We have not even begun advertising campaigns cause the site is still in beta mode and under development. We have done no SEO work or link building. Yet we're at 6000 members in 4 months, getbig has 28,000 members been around for like 10 years, so we're way ahead of where i thought we'd be. Eventually we'll transition into 2.0 version, dating page, marketplace, and PBTV will be up. There's so much to do, if we're at 200K members in 2-3 years, im a happy man.
facebook had 40,000 members after 4 years, then exploded. We have our work cut out for us for sure, but the idea works, just a matter of putting some time into it.
-
fitbook would have been a much better name, much more simple and catchy. Also it is or was available as a domain. The word physique excludes women.
-
all what this guy need to make it to the nfl is great aas knowledge... why the fuck dont you help him with that matt?
-
If this takes off, how many who shitted on Matt are gonna be on his cock?

that's never been my questions. it's about the master of that "domain". it always comes down to that on the net. if someone else controls it...you steak needs to be in writing.

Are you trying to say it caters more to the cock and balls crowd?
-
I'll give you 200 dollars to take it down off the internet...?

I’m saying that aside from being a shameful, retarded facebook knockoff, its simply a bad name, all the way around. Matt has created something bad.
The entire thing is a disgrace ;D

MattT is a nice guy, but this thread title sounds too Goodrum-esque to be taken seriously.

i own the domain?.

IMO fitbook which is taken, is too much like a weight loss site or diet site, doesn't sound right. facebook in that case should have used peoplebook, yet they just used face instead. Now this site has to do with athletes and competitors which all have one thing in common. They have physiques that suite their particular sport. ie strong man physiques, soccer player physiques, bbing physiques, power lifting physiques, basketball physiques etc.. Fitbook IMO is limited.
-
the sight i hella dope though
