This is the reason why i watch UFC.. but nowadays... this isn't bloodsport or quest-like (jean claude van damme movie) lol. something that makes you go "OHHH Sh!t! did you see that?"

evolution of ufc.. some good fights in there...

I agree. A lot more limitations today like no headbutts, no soccer kicks, no knees to a downed opponent, etc. But, the same could be said for all other organizations. In fact, neither Bellator or Strikeforce allow elbows.
Also, the guys are all well rounded today, which doesn't allow for the dramatic bouts we saw in the past in which there was a huge disparity between opponents.

like boxing vs bjj, sumo vs karate.. something unique back then.. but now it's all seems grappling and striking..

When the novelty wears off, the old fights had too many unskilled guys with lousy cardio. They had ridiculous made up records too, like 250 - 0 from their disciplines.

It should definetly not be called Ultimate Fighting anymore, all these crappy rules the raw man vs man aspect out of it..first few UFC's were awesome, anything goes! it was like a real Kumite, now it's been so restricted and limited that it's starting to lose a lot of it's original appeal.

So basically you want back the mullet men fighting in singlets and t-shirts?

It was definetly a lot more unpredictable in the very beginning.. plus you had freakshow type matchups..400lb guys vs 170lb guys..it was awesome! I think someone should start another organization in the vein of the original UFC format.. keep UFC the way it is now (pussified) and have another org from Japan where it's just all out, no rules, fighting, only rule is no weapons/foreign objects..that to me would be the ultimate tough guy test..
no weight classes or height classes, wear whatever the hell you want, just real 1 on 1 combat, short of death.
