ALR , or scott jensen, or whatever the fuck his name is.........is a piece of garbage

and ALRI represents EVERTHING that is wrong with the supplement industry

trying to claim witha straight face that his "new" humapro has a 99% absorbtion rate, while ALL other whey proteing supplements have like 17% absorbtion

Yup.

Scott Jensen is a complete fraud. Been saying so for years.

I actually stumbled upon the thread on bbpro yesterday, after googling for "intravenous whey isolate" (just one of the lies in ALRI marketing). Dan Duchaine was one of my favorite posters here and his commentary on Jensen at bbrpo/rxmuscle was hilarious and on point.

what happened on BBPRO, what did the thread say, and what was the controversy  ???  link?

Duchaine had some harsh words for ALRI on rxmuscle and he copied the deleted postings to a thread over on bbpro.

http://forum.bodybuildingpro.com/showthread.php?t=13889

I made some of these same points over on professionalmuscle in a recent thread. Things like the "IV whey isolate" comment, Humapro supposedly having 0.4 calories per gram of protein, claims of whey actually being catabolic and outright toxic, and etc.

Humapro is just a mix of essential free form amino acids. But if you read the marketing it's almost impossible to even discover what the hell is in the product due to all the obfuscation.

im not a chemist or anything, but just from the things ALR was saying.......it all just sounded ridiculous

if this new product is SO special, and has an absorbtion rate 80% better then typical market whey protein............why would his relatively small shit-bag company arrive upon such a monumental invention ..........why wouldnt big pharma, or some billlion-funded researcher have already come across this "super protein" ::) ::)

and duchaine called it perfectly...........its the arrogance of ALR that is really offputting.........he loves to come off as the rebel-bodybuilder/superscientist-iconoclast party animal......and he is just lame............those interviews on RX where him and that ugly wife of his boast about how "wild" they are, how sexually experimental, adn how hard they "party".............it maked my stomech hurt ::) ::)

Hey, small companies come out with great inventions all the time. True Most just sell to big companies tho.
That said, 99% rate? So it's better the REAL food? ???

If this stuff is anything like Hot Stuff, count me in.  Downfall with Hot Stuff was people were mixing it with milk instead of water.  People need to realize it's "how" you take the supplement and "when".  That's why Franco Santoriello had such amazing results with Cybergenics. Who needs drugs when there are great "drug" like supps out there that Bodybuilders have been using since day one.  People need to listen to their bodies, that is the key along with superior supplements like, Hot Stuff, Cybergenics and Humapro.

I just know good quality supplements when I seem them.  Cell Tech was one of the industries breakthrough products and is responsible for Dex, Jay, King, etc.etc.  How can you explain this?  Now Humipro is out and will do the same.  Stock up now "brothers in iron" for this stuff will be banned.  I'm hearing people on the Olympic committee are already investigating this stuff as we speak.

yeh, i agree, individual people and small companies DO invent things all the time......but not usually when it comes to the bio-sciences, chemicals, pharma, and stuff like that

it takes a LOT of money and a large research budget to develop new drugs or alter molecules and compounds like that

I got a few samples of the fat burners. Of course, like all fat burners that try to get you to feel like they are working, they are loaded with yohimbe. It's such a shitty thing to take; all it produces is a dirty anxiety feeling.

I wonder what Dave Palumbo thinks about ALR's comments on how shitty whey is, which must include Species protein products.

Legal threats are all fun and games until you actually get sued over it.  :-\

Has anyone here ever dealt with a lawsuit?  I know Ron has dealt with legal matters before and he discussed some of them on here.  Anyone else?

Seems to me like you are dancing around the issue. Are you or are you not being sued by ALRI? What is the specific complaint?

Not only does ALRI spike his products with illegal stimulants/steroids, they also fail to include some ingredients listed on the label:

Quote
1. Hyperdrive 3.0+

A month ago media wrote about the amphetamine oxilofrine, alias methyl synephrine, in ALRI’s Hyperdrive 3.0+. [First Edition Cycling News, April 16, 2010] It was the cause of American cyclist Flavia Oliveira’s 2-year suspension by the doping authority. The researchers also found the substance in batch 110802 when they examined it. One capsule contains 38 mg of the stuff. [Of natural origin? We find this difficult to believe…] On top of that the researchers found 185 mg caffeine and 75 mg vitaberine, an eccentric analogue of vitamin B1. All these substances are listed on the label. According to the label, Hyperdrive 3.0+ also contains lipoic acid and tyrosine ethyl ester. But the researchers couldn’t find these two substances. The other natural compounds listed on the label were only present in ‘very low amounts’.

I also didn't care for that.  I don't know how that would appeal to consumers but maybe the hardcore crowd likes that kind of thing.

Author has said he has no plans to sue me which is good.  I hope to deescalate the other lawsuit threats because even groundless litigation is a huge waste of time and money.

I highly doubt there is illegal compounds in the mix.  That would be very unscrupulous which in the supplement business is a big no no.  IF THERE WERE some sort of banned substances in there, the rest of the supplement world would "black list" him and that is one thing he doesn't want.  Its nice to see the supplement industry "look out" for the consumer.  Again if you mix your whey protein with anything besides water you will not get the "full" benefits of the supp.  I have heard on a rare occasion that people that used lactose free milk recieved remarkable results but that is on an individual basis and not typical.
