Obama administration sources tell ABC News that Attorney General Eric Holder is expected to file a lawsuit against the state of Arizona for its immigration law, likely next week.
The suit has been expected for some time now. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told a South American television interviewer that the president had told the Justice Department to file the suit on the basis that it's the constitutional responsibility of the federal government -- not states -- to set immigration policy.
"President Obama has spoken out against the law because he thinks that the federal government should be determining immigration policy," Clinton told the interviewer on station NTN 24. "And the Justice Department, under his direction, will be bringing a lawsuit against the act.”
Holder is expected to also claim in his suit that the Arizona law will be enforced in a way that could cause discrimination based on race and nationality.

Obama definately lied directly to Brewer. She said obama told her in the meeting that we was going to get back to her in a few weeks on new help from the WH to deal with the border issues. He never said a word about a lawsuit.
Honestly, just when I think this admn can't go any freaking lower and more disgusting, they pull crap like this.

The whole reason AZ had to implement these measures is that the fed govt. did NOTHING to help them, and the burgeoning immigration problem was rapidly growing out of control.
The federal govt. still has no plan. All they're going to do is eradicate the closest thing to a plan that AZ has.
They should at least have a solution before fighting for the "responsibility."
As it stands now, the only thing that can come of this is AZ will be stuck right back where they were.

I understand your position when it comes to this government and your great dislike of it but don't you think you're being a little overly dramatic stating YOUR personal opinion over and over again based ONLY on stories you've heard about communism?? Since you have NEVER traveled to a communist country , let alone live in one I always find your posts and rants about "this admin" being a reflection of communism quite funny....but that's just me. ;D

You are absolutely right it is horrible!!! you have my respect for that, in case you missed my post on this topic,I was born and lived for almost 20 years in one of those prisons,a real communist country where you could have been fuckin executed for saying something related to politics to your cousin for example only to find out he's a secret police informant after they knocked on your door and picked you up... My REAL life experience is by far my greatest asset when I speak about whatever is happening in this country NOT being even close to communism. That's the reason I get a bit bent out of shape when I hear stuff like "he's a communist, this is socialism" all the inflammatory remarks that make people run for the hills. All societies have some form of socialism and most people have no idea and most important NO PROBLEM with it. However, when those words are used with the sole purpose of keeping people in control and emotionally fearing for their lives you're playing with fire. Perfect example is 338 ..just look how afraid he is that this is Mao's second coming....People are gonna start looking for every tiny bit of information to justify their fears even though there is absolutely nothing to fear.

Where I lived is totally irrelevant, all my close friends know it, it's not that big of a secret, but you'll have to excuse me for being a little reluctant to share that online with the whole world ;) The stories, memories and experiences are painfully real and that's all that matters.

put yourself in my shoes,would you tell if you knew the information you put on the web could possibly affect you directly or your family and put them in a potentially dangerous situation ? It's very easy for somebody who lived his whole life in this country to see it that way( I'm making an assumption here), since you never experienced the real fear of retribution and politics of an oppressive, controlling, evil, communist government, I call it being selective with what I want people to know about me or not. No big deal. :)

I completely understand. I've met many immigrants who now live in Canada but are still fearful for family members still living abroad so they won't utter a peep about their former country. Reprisals against friends and/or family is an all too common occurance.

If you carefully read some posts, 338 is the one harping on it to find out where I'm from. Why ? I have no idea, if putting out on the web would give me "credibility" in his eyes...well fuck that, I don't need any validation. All I said is that I experienced communism and their tactics first hand for almost 20 years and that's what started all this bullshit that you call my "15 minutes of fame".
