I bet if I trained for a couple months I might be able to bust out about 50 reps of deadlifts at 225. What to you guys think? How many reps are reasonable at 225?
-
reasonable or respectable?

pounds right not kilos? Depends how strong you are i suppose. But 225 isn't particularly heavy so you should be getting at least 25 to 30

40.27 is respectable. 40 is weak.

Im at 10 right now. I'm very leary of injury. I think 25 30 would be awsome though

I could probably break the world record in a 24 hour period but Guiness does not seem to care about Deadlifts as much as Pullups.
-
Adonis could probably do the 112 with some dietary modifications and time.

Thats a really good squat. I was able to do 315 for 20 ATG when I was a Perma Bulker. It was one of the most challenging things I have done. My training partner at the time removed the catch bars so either I had to do it, or drop it to the floor. Good stuff.
How much did you weigh for 315 for 26?

I wonder since you are the photo boy for Wiki's bodybuilder if you could possibly get the NFL to add deadlifts to combine. 112@225 being the top level perhaps?

How long did it take you to do those 112 reps Adonis? And it was with straps, breaks at the top, wasn't it. I would like to take that as my goal sometime. 8)

I think a pie eating contest would be more fitting for the NFL.

225 for 10 minutes straight, like Tom Platz did with squats.
-
Non stop or do you get like 20 second breaks?

never said thats what i can do fool. I never did high reps for deadlifts anyway, i dont see the point, 225 is a warm up weight ffs. Why the hell would i wanna waste my time trying to lift 225 for as many times as possible when i need to focus on not fucking my back up for much heavier lifts. If you wanna waste your time doing it all power to you man, you'll just be that dick that takes up the rack for ten minutes achieving nothing.

yes yes yes that's all well and good, I don't waste my time doing that shit neither, so, just saying you made it sound like 25 reps is something to mention in deadlifts... if youur OWN bodyweight is 225 or UNDER, and you can BENCH PRESS 225 for 25 reps then thats' good, but in other movements it's.... absolutely nothing.
but, never mind
