Since getbig has been so quiet lately, what better way to make it louder by posting more of your fav engine sounds.

Pretty good HD vid + sound of a basically stock 1000 on a dyno. Japanese inline-4s all have their own distinctive sound qualities from one manufacturer to the next - I have always liked the raw howl of the GSXRs.

Here is a constrasting Jap inline 4....the all new for 2009 big bang Yamaha R1 with revised firing order that mimics the Yamaha M1 MotoGP ride that Rossi and Lorenzo race. The tone and note of the big bang Yamaha engine is TOTALLY different and one of the most exotic sounding Japanese motors ever manufactured for the public.

There isn't a video posted that has the power and noise of this one. Top Fuel Dragsters are unreal. I have been back in the pit area when they start them up and it is unreal. It scares the shit out of you. Video does not do it justice. You have to go to the drag races just once. It is unreal. Watch the whole things but from 2:20 on just check out the power.

I worked on top fuel cars for years!!! it never gets old hearing them! nothing ever has compared to the way it hits you in the chest when they crack the throttle , or hell even idle!!! did you know that idling these motors make 1200 hp ! now i work for a pro mod team. Its a lil more laid back and less hours put in than a fuel team

nice. how many rpm did it top out at?
Max HP is around 12K rpm - the 750 and 600 class spin higher and harder.....upwards of 15750rpm and beyond before rev limiters kick in.
