The US will never be #1 for several reasons!
for a sport to be successful in a country you need inner city and or poor kids playing that sport. They have to view that sport as a means of escaping generational poverty. Go to any country where soccer is #1 and will see that poor kids embrace it like a religion. Basketball and Football are viewed that way in the US. Same as Hockey in Canada.
Go to Latin America and ask about their love for baseball then look at the roster of any MLB team.
Once Mexico recaptures the South West of America soccer will become our national past time...just look at the population calculations, probably in 20 years.

Hockey? are you kidding me? It's an expensive sport to play, average families do play it but you gotta spend quite a bit of money to go anywhere with it. FYI, sweden produces about 8 times more nhl players per capita than USA, and it's your league. Why do you think NHL is all white.

Most of china is poor as hell, they cant even afford to eat well enough to be athletes it's very much valid. FYI Sweden got like 9 million US got 300 million. It's no wonder American hate geography when it tends to deflate your ego.

I will say this, that of the games I watched the US looked to have horrible team work in everything other than free kicks where the play was set up...cant pass for shit looked like a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off

Usa's defence were pretty horrible the little that I saw, and the goalie was probably the reason why you made it as far as you guys did =)
I dont really know what happened to sweden, maby their other times told them to chill so they wouldnt get hurt because their clubs pays ALOT MORE then the national team thats for sure, especially for zlatan lol.
this has been a very strange ass tournament though, I wish sweden would have qualified because if he even just played Decent we would have gotten pretty damn far.

Cultures that are accepting of American culture are the only ones you'll see influence in, which means, there's no ramming of anything going on, just the need to be like Americans. I see this all over the world, and even though there are people who sincerely do not care for Americans, the vast majority of the world still wants to cup our nuts.
