Kovacs was a "never was", he was pressured to compete, after all the hype that Muscle tech put int him. Fux was decent, but he ushered in the "gut" and "alien belly". Ruhl, had a good reign, especially after he got his hernia fixed. I would add Frank McGrath to that list. Came like a lion, didn't do well, but was hyped by Animalpak, had the blue collar thing working. And he could have blown up, till he ton a bicep.

I gotta say though Greg Kovacs was the biggest flake of them all. Over-hyped, over-exageratted lifts, lousy looking flake.

Do you remember the stories of how he had a restaurant-grade beverage dispenser filled with Cell-Tech in his house?

I certainly do. That fake flake was in the same Gold's Gym as me from the time it opened tot he time it closed. I witnessed every so-called lift he did and believe me when I tell you that his strength was no where near what the mags claimed to do. He had size on a tall frame but that was about it.

My buddy saw him at the Arnold.
Said he was gigantic, and just sat at the table in front of the booth sweating profusely with a couple of fans blowing on him.
He almost got winded just signing pictures & t-shirts.

He'll be lucky if he makes it to 45 years of age. He's already had three mild heart attacks / palpations. Talk about a trainwreck. At the old Gold's gym he used to have his wife and some other bitch/stooge offload his plates on the leg press, etc because he was too lazy. His wife left him. Got tired of his wreck drug abuse and going nowhere fast "career".

Maybe his wife found out that his career was 93,173%…
Never mind.

Lol...just like his 7 plate incline bench press ::)
Then I would walk into Gold's to train and catch a glimpse of him doing no more than 4 plates per side on an incline SMITH MACHINE. Lol....
His physique = tons upon tons of HGH/SLIN/IGF-1 abuse.
