How about these assholes you support and and run the govt actually clean up the mess?
Did they ever think of actually doing something than sending lawyers, having commissions, and talking about the problem for once?

I agree they need to do a muuuch better job at that, but the question is why would you side with republicans who at this point are blocking an investigation into this thing???? Just cuz they're doing the opposite of whatever dems are doing now??? That doesn't make you look very objective. :-\

This is nothing but more garbage from failed hack politicians looking for cya for the the awful job they are doing. Clean up the mess then have a commission.
When obama was running for office he said commissons were a waste of time, now the dems are trying to have them for everything since they need cover for their daily failure and circus act.

The problem is it's hard to say what they're doing at this point. If I had to venture a guess, they probably objected to the Senate version because that version provided for per diem payments to witnesses. So taxpayer dollars would be used to fly these BP execs, engineers, etc., along with hotel and food just for them to testify.
But, then she tried to move the House bill (without the per diem payments), and they still objected. So, we really need more info on what the objection(s) were for.

Come on we all know what's going on here. Big oil has told the republican party 'if you want funding vote against investigation'. The democrats (already being bullied by big oil into closing media coverage) are trying to somewhat 'save face' and show they aren't completely paid for just yet. Both are doing a good job it seems as you all dodge this issue for yet more attack and defense bullsh*t.
