Title: best cardio for leg mass and size?
Post by: Tom on July 03, 2010, 09:04:53 AM
just wondering what is the best cardio to build leg mass and size? always have had definition in my legs from years of playing sports but never ever any leg mass? i want some tree trunks!

i'm thinking either stairclimbers and/or sprints? although my experience using a stair climber for 20 minutes 3 times a week, was that i got even more definition, but not necessarily any more size?

sprints? how long can you just do sprints for your cardio workout?

treadmill walking, stationary bike, ellipticals? not sure if these would do the trick, i kind of doubt it?

perhaps a combination of stairclimber and uphill sprints 3 times a week along of course with heavy leg workouts each week?

advice please guys! thanks in advance for the replies!

Pretty simple question for most guy's here.  The BB Squat. Not leg presses or leg extensions, but progressive heavy squats.. If you want the ultimate in stamina (endurance plus strength) than heavy 20 rep+ breathing squats. Your cardio problems will be solved along with your building leg mass concerns. Try adding as little a 2 1/2 lbs each squat workout. Or increase the reps a bit. This is progressive weight training. Good Luck.
