Pathetic - referees suck, game is slow, embarrassing final. Most yellow cards given ever in a World Cup final game. Can we give a Crybaby of the Game award to the best acting player?

Sickens me that the referees keep getting calls wrong, and just having fun with yellow cards. Slows the game down tremendously when players have yellow cards and hold back.
They should have two referees down there for the biggest game in the world.

Spain was clearly the better team out there and deserve the win.
But obviously, the call is WRONG. They have simple replay and with two referees on either side, it could be solved.
However,
Congratulations to Spain for winning! They were the favorites to win from the beginning and lived up to the hype!

the only real bad call was when that retarded black 'dutch' player jump kicked the spanish player in the chest and wasnt tossed. they should have been playing a man down for most of the game. it semed like the dutch strategy going in was 'lets try to injure the spanish players'

Bah! Worst Finals ever behind 2006 and 1994! 2 hours of futbol, and 8 shots on goal??!! Spain scored 6 goals in 7 games, had the easiest group, lost to Swiss who didn't make it out of the first round, had poor performances over Portugal and Chile, beat a German team that decided not to show up and then won this stinker of a game off a bad call call in their box that the ref ignored that turned into a goal. I wish they both could of lost...neither deserves to hold the title. A bunch of whining, diving, cheating little queers...and that does for Holland too.
Germany was the most exciting and highest scoring team in WC... the true World Champs! Thomas Mueller, 20 years old with the golden boot award! Bring on Brazil 2014!

Spain scored 6 goals in 7 games, had the easiest group, lost to Swiss who didn't make it out of the first round, had poor performances over Portugal and Chile, beat a German team that decided not to show up and then won this stinker of a game off a bad call call in their box that the ref ignored that turned into a goal. I wish they both could of lost...neither deserves to hold the title. A bunch of whining, diving, cheating little queers...and that does for Holland too.

i watched a lot of soccer this year... nevre have before...
and wow... those players are DRAMA QUEENS. All the dramatic falls, wincing pain looks on their face...
They should toughen up and act like real men out there. A foul or kick is the same, even without the cowardly scream, and the ref will call it.

Totally agree, and I think that is ONE of the things that hurts it in the US. Nothing wrong with an occasional flop to draw a charge (in hoops of course) but when the wind appears to knock a guy over and he rolls around like he took a 12 gauge blast to the stomach......thats a bit much.

Exactly. If I got a red card from that knowing that I only hit his leg and he managed to fake it so I get sent of for NOT doing anything wrong ...I would go Insane.

Spain did not have an path, they had to off 2 south american teams (chile and paraguay) that were both damn good teams, beat portugal (ranked 3rd in the world), then completely dominated a german team who had been annihilating strong teams and was also top 5 in the world, then beat a Dutch team that could have beat any other team on earth, and did this by DOMINATING possession of the ball against everyone they played, and other than the opening swiss debacle allowed only ONE goal and conceded ZERO goals in elimination play. they had only ONE card total going in to the final. ONE. they certainyl did deserve it, they have been the best team in the world since 2008. nobody can score on them and they beat Everybody.
