Went to HS with a white guy who could run just a shade over 10......he turned it into a soccer scholarship to Clemson.
He said he learned to run so fast being the only white boy in his NYC neighborhood when he was younger.... ;D

Man that is fast. We had some of the fastest guys at our high school in the country. 2 or 3 of them went onto the Olympics. Henry Thomas married Laila Ali and played with the Bears. He raced Carl Lewis back in the early 80's at the Sunkist Meet and slipped at the start and took 2nd behind Lewis by a half a step. Mike Marsh too went on to do something. I just read the other day our school stills holds the National High School record in the 4 x 400 and the Sprint Medley. That is a 25 year old record which is really hard to do.

I'm pretty sure there are lots of white people who do take sprinting seriously - it just so happens that black guys beat them in all the races and so naturally they get the most exposure, making it look like there are no decent whites out there lol.
It's the same with other sports except the other way around - there are probably quite a few blacks trying to be the best swimmers they can be but simply get beat by whites.
Like someone else in the thread pointed out - it depends on the types of muscle fibres present in the body - when you get to elite level, these things do matter.

The thing is, if you train to run only 10.10 - 10.20 seconds in 100m sprints, you will run that and nothing more.
If you want to do something, but trying to achieve it by thinking "it's not REALLY possible" at the same time, you will lose to yourself.
Everything's possible... you can see how even the media that should be "politically correct" comments that it was the "first WHITE maN", and not just "man"... some people want to make you think we are all very differend and make convincing tricks to say "it is true, look", but then hide the things that proofs we are the same.

Only 70 guys have ever broke the ten second barrier, most of which were juiced to the eyeballs, this guy is skinny as hell. Very good achievement. Generally i think black guys are better at sprinting and white guys are better at sports like powerlifting, but there are exceptions both ways. There are always exceptions.

I rank way down compared to some of my friends. But I did sit next to Jonesy
