Going for the health look it seems.
This was about 2 years ago:

Has there been any substantiated news about a fight or is it just because he's in shape again?

:o
he jacked tyson for 100M while he was in the can.
-
after his oprah interviews Im getting the feeling hes forced into this for sure.
-
tyson looks to be in good shape but Holyfiels is still a warrior and I am afraid Mike doesn't have the drive to beat him.
-
Don't do it Mike! :'(

It showed an interview on sky sports over here in England yesterday,he`s looking very trim.He did say that mma is overtaking boxing, but he does sound a bit slurry with his words

cue the meltdown of all boxing nuthuggers lol

Iron Mike is the fuckin man.
The documentary about him that came out last summer is a must see for anyone who is a fan of fighting.
The guy needs money and he is still a big draw. I hate to see a legend look like a shell of his former self, but what else can he do besides promote what's left of his name?
-
Don't do it Mike! :'(
I dont think it will happen.

Shit i still can recall watching his fight live back in 1986 when he Hammered Trever Berbick as a 20yr old Kid he was back then,.... 24 yrs ago, hard to be leave hes now 44 Yrs old... :o... possibly the most Exciting Heavyweight in History bar none.
-
Errr No, hes not coming back
Hes said that many times

Don't know if he was the most exciting but certainly one of a kind. the built, the short size, his strange (and highly effective) defense and ultra fast for a HW once in the box. Too bad he got rid of kevin Rooney.
-
If he does comeback, we'll get all the usual shit about how in training he looks like he did in his prime; hows he's got his handspeed back; how he's moving his head like he did when he was with Rooney and how he's knocking out 37 sparring partners a day and we'll all try to forget that in his last fight he got tkod by Kevin McBride.
Kevin. Mc. Bride.
-
here's the deal: if his heart is in it ala george foreman...he can be successful. HWD is a joke and he has a puncher's chance...just like old george. 100M in purses n sponsor type deals like the Tyson Juicer, etc. several tune-up wins and if he is SERIOUS...he can take the lesser of the russian brothers.

Yeah, it's frustrating hearing him get bashed by people who've never watched a full fight of him in his prime. Anyone who was old enough to understand what was going on in the 80's remembers just how unbelievable Tyson was in his prime.
Watching highlight reels where half the clips are from a "past his prime" Tyson swinging wildly and occasionally connecting doesn't help.
It's fun to watch his knockouts on youtube....but watching him in a full fight was crazy. His speed and power, not just on the knockout punches, was incredible. Other fighters really were scared of him....top heavyweight boxers, actually looking frightened in the ring.
It's a shame what happened to him after the 80's.

Exactly....his movement was amazing. You just didn't see heavyweights moving their heads like that.
Hell, he'd duck down almost until his head was at knee level sometimes....and of course put all the momentum of popping back up into his punches.

Tyson's fights in his prime had an edge to them that NO fighter since has....it was like watching to see if he would actually decapitate someone....like a ton of TNT, but you didn't know when it would go off. He was plain f'n scary....
-
I don't remember exactly which fight it was (maybe against Holmes) but what I remember clearly is Tyson was ducking , his ass was almost touching the canvas and his opponent, much taller than him, desperately trying to land a punch.

I practice MMA so I could take him in his prime.

You didn't need to bring that up. We never doubted that.

I think your uniquie style of rear-naked choke would be the difference...

And if that doesn't work, you can always resort to protein farts.

He would never recover from my ground and pound game.

I heard by my sister's half brother's cousin that Exotica Soto didn't recover form the pounding you gave her on the ground of your appartment last night. True? Or was it your "friend"?
-

Oh yeah, little ground and pound and then some rear naked choking! Boom !!!!!
-
That clip there with Reggie Gross was the first time i saw Tyson, every month you would read in the papers about another win and you wondered who this guy was,but you had no idea what he looked like. Then that clip was shown and i thought Tyson was the one doing all the punching, until that uppercut comes flying and knocks the guy out.Now i knew what Tyson looked like.

Do you use the drunken master style of fighting?

I'Ii Fuck you until you love me homo

fucking epic.

Even though he is past his prime, it's good to see him in shape and getting some air time.
I doubt he will ever fight again, but he still remains my favorite HW of all time.
He learned his "peek a boo" style of fighting from the old school boxers, back when boxers slugged it out and didn't backpeddle or dance around the ring like Floyd gaywether.

He'd only be doing it for the paycheck. Hasn't had the drive, the passion, the hunger, the disciple, or even the skills to do what he once did SO easily in the 1980's. Was a shadow of his former self by the time he came out if prison (15 years ago). Was a disgrace 5 years ago (his actually GIVING up in the ring). If it's for the money, it'll show when in the ring. If it's for the sport and if he has something to prove (redeem himself), he will destroy WHOEVER gets in his way.

He signed with Don King and rumored to BITE Holyfield.
fixed

Good call. He does it with James "Quick" Tillis right here. Check out how low he gets!

That's an illegal move in boxing( it is illegal to duck lower than the opponent's belt line ) ,but that rule seems not to be enforced in Pro boxing, they do enforce it in amateur boxing .
BTW Tyson was done about 12-14 years ago.

Tyson was done by 25 (1991).... His BEST years were from 18-22 (1985-1988).

He also said after he GAVE UP in his last fight to someone he would have knocked out within the first round in his prime, that he's no longer hungry and hasn't been hungry since 1990 and that he hasn't loved the sport since then. What does that tell you? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

he was devastating then,,the documentary on him was very insightful and quite sad at the same time.

Yea well that is quite the motivation. Money motivates nearly every person in this country. Everyone of you who works at a job they don't like or have fun at is only working there because it is money. People kill for money. Money motivates more than anything. One thing I see is he is getting in pretty good shape compared to what he was just a year ago so at least if he is going to fight he is going in the ring in shape. Hopefully he can get back that fire he had when his goal was to be the champ. I still sense he can be pretty fast and powerful. We will see. But, if he fights in vegas I may get me some 1st row riser seats. Ain't no fun watching fights ringside.
