I do. I know, I'm not getting any younger. But neither are you for asking the question.

Looks good, but they are doing too many remakes, it's like the entertainment industry is losing zest for coming up with ideas. Just look at the reality show genre. It's like Hollywood is mirroring our society, lack of originality, lack of desire to expound on something new, unseen, and unheard of.

Gator McKluskey juiced

on a side note.. I was sitting in the NCO club in Okinawa eating lunch when I happened to glance over at the next table to a group of obvious civilians and much to my surprise, there was Jerry Reed eating a burger. I knew he was performing on base so I knew it was him, but I didn't realize he wore a hair piece until I saw him without it... huge difference..

ACH, I'm also looking forward to seeing TRON. The visuals and the music look and sound amazing!

Parker, regarding your 'remakes' comment  .... Hollywood is also aware of this 'remake' situation and some even consider it to be a big problem as many remakes have not made the income that the bean counters anticipated.

That is precisely why the big thinkers in Hollywood are avidly searching for new material.

And that is why I think some of you GetBiggers have some pretty damn interesting 'life experiences" that should be brought to Hollywood's attention.  But only through the proper channels ... screenplay, book, agent, lawyer, guild, etc.

One friend of mine had dinner with a top star a year or so ago and during that dinner he presented that major star with a verbal 'play by play' of a movie he had in mind.

The star was so impressed that he started acting out the role he perceived for himself at that dinner table and offered to deliver the script to the right person for consideration once it was written.

So my friend proceeded to write the script but did not adhere to the proper script format. Instead he went to elaborate expense to create a very elaborate storyboard which 'pictured' the movie scene by scene. He being an artist with no writing background actually thought it was a better presentation than a movie script.

This elaborate 'picture book' eventually arrived at  the major studio of this big time star ....  but it was immediately cast aside and returned because the manner in which it was done would have caused all sorts of legal problems if anyone in authority had even taken a look at it.

Three to five years from now some of you GetBiggers will be kicking yourselves in the ass for not pursuing your dream to make it big in LA-LA Land, because someone is gonna do it and make it happen ....  and only then you'll realize that YOU could have been that 'conten'da'!

stuntmovie, a local college is offering a script writing course, do you think one of those are worthwhile?  My brother and I have quite a few ideas, but I have no clue how to develop a script.

Show, any type of 'edu-ma-ka-tion' is worth it providing you proceed to do something with it after you get it.

Even if you just sit back and think about that hard earned and often very expensive education or simply brag about it to other GetBiggers .... it's worth it.

And since you and your bro have some "ideas", I would say that it would be a bad idea if  you did not attend that class.

Everything starts with an idea and even a bad idea can be productive and profitable.

And many successful enterprises were based on many bad ideas but those bad idea thinkers were persistent and ....... that paid off eventually

Think of Post It Notes and glue that would not stick and other 'stuff' that would not work as initially planned.

What is the price of that course anyway?

Cost of the class is around $200, so very affordable and right around the corner from my house.  I think I will register for it, why not?  I think it would be interesting and who knows, might lead to something....I'm going to hit you with a pm...

You realize that you're sometimes pushing the "metrosexual" enveloppe so far that you're "straight" in gay territory, right?
