So I've been trying this and I find that it seems to lean me out (in the morning upon waking, leaner than if I ate carbs all day) BUT muscle is flatter than if I ate more carbs throughout the day. What are your thoughts?
As far as no carb, it's bit hard on me. Protein sources are easy but I consume no more then 40g at a meal (so say that is 200 cal), I'd have to drink quite a bit of olive oil (3 servings which is 13.5g x 3 = 40.5 grams of oil = 360 cals), doable but isn't it bad to get 300 cals from straight fat (even the healthy ones)? I feel limited to olive oil, avocado, peanut butter, coconut oil (I avoid it though); as such I'm getting really sick of eating just those. Suggestions appreciated.

LMAO, thats funny dude. Princess, I respect you a LOT and think you contribute quite a bit, but I'm a weight lifter, I eat 3-4k cals a day. If I replaced what i eat with spinach and broccoli, I'd shrink down to Ryan Seacrest ;D

really bro, i think you are looking to hard into this......regardless of what every magazine prints BB is NOT a science.......make this as simple as you can....that goes for everything from training-diet...dont overthink......just limit throughout the day...it would work better, and wouldnt mess with you..

I agree with you and honestly that's how I was doing it before. But what I noticed is that my calorie intake was just all over the place (some meals high, some meals low) and I want to tighten down my body fat a bit, hence I started counting my cals and eating every 3 hours. I always ate fairly clean but just one of those that has to watch what I eat, fat piles on quick no matter how freaking hard I lift and if I didn't eat enough muscle growth suffered. Right now my new method is kind of an experiment, I may just go back to my old way.

Haven't tried that, will give it a shot. Though I must admit I'm paranoid about regular cardio because I fear muscle loss. I'm not "on" anything at the moment to help prevent/inhibit catabolism.

bro, i run 3-5 miles on mon, wed, and fri.......i have gained muscle, and strength......if you eat enough...it doesnt matter....think about how much your circulation increases when you run...we arent even talking about your heart...that circulation goes to your muscles too...
i havent been this big, or strong since i was a walking pharmacy...running is likely the best thing i ever did...

Hey, I'm not saying replace - add to - helps with hunger and the bathroom. Keep eating the way you are and you'll be plugged up in no time. Oh, and add some nuts (fat) like almonds and walnuts.

Hey, just because that's what you do when playing Rambo doesn't mean everyone else does.
