Title: Facebook (Adding people question)
Post by: Eyeball Chambers on July 28, 2010, 03:30:12 PM: I don't like to send invites to people on facebook, (it feels weird). I just accept people who add me. Is this what you guys do?

Especially with girls, I never add them I just accept them. I think that's very important psychologically. Am I right?

Post by: BB on July 28, 2010, 03:41:10 PM: Personally I never send friend requests if I don't already really know the person, I will accept invites from most that I'm marginally friends with, although I try to get a look at their "wall" first to make sure I won't have to deal with any whiny b.s., game requests, chain letters, etc....

As far as women, it depends. If I know them to be very private or stand-offish, I'll approach. No big deal.

Same here. I don't send invites, just accept requests. Once I was tricked by the FB system. I received a friend invite and clicked on it thinking I was accepting it only to discover later the person was a suggested friend. I knew this person of course but the invite did not come from the person. It came from another friend. Now I keep an eye out for those suggested requests.
