Title: Vince Goodrum Quote of the Year
Post by: SF1900 on July 28, 2010, 10:07:58 PM
"The head judge told me that I had plenty of size to compete against them but just needed to work more on overall conditioning." Vince Goodrum.

Yeah I kind of remember that quote sticking out the time I read it.

There is no way this guy can be a real guy with all his claims. What gets me more than anything is...Does this guy REALLY think he can do some damage in the NPC ranks as a natural?? There is no way possible he could be that delusional.

I mean, I don't know how delusional one person can be? Goodrum and the NPC?  :-X :-X :-\

i got a PM along time ago from a guy on here who competed with Goodrum (in another class).  He said Goodrun was constantly backstage pushing other compeitors about Bee Pollen and the Magic Stick.  It cam down to where the promoter told him to knock it off.  The guy said some of the other competitors felt weird when Goodrum kept bugging them about it.  I heard from another guy that the promoter asked not to enter again.  not sure if this is true or allowed.  Butm he ended up doing NGA shows and not NPC so who knows.  I also got another PM just a few months ago about Goodrum doing the same thing when he was trying to break into wrestling.  Ended up pissing off so many people they told him to get the fuck out.  I keep asking him why he got kicked out of the Army 9ROTC) and still waiting to see why,

LOL! - That's pretty sad when the promoter has to tell you to knock it off. The fact that it got to that level is just weird.

When asked about being gay

"Why would I be ashamed?? Its not any secret and most people up here and in the bodybuilding industry know about it. I think this will be my 3rd time being outed. The reason I never said anything is because nobody ever asked or really cared unless they were trying to pick up on me or something.

You'd be surprised how many IFBB pro's I saw at the club in Las Vegas or different events but that's another story."

On how he stays motivated:

"The mirror is a powerful tool"

Can someone explain this one.

As I was expected a few months ago, my somewhat great state of North Carolina passed a new bull**** tax law which ultimately no longer allows me to be a BB.com affiliate so today I got the message from Crystal that my all of my affiliate accounts I had are closed now.  I'm glad to have been of service to BB.com and I hope I've been entertaining enough as well. I will stop by in the future every once in a while but now I have to re-design all of my affiliate websites which is going to take quite some time and make up for the income that I'll be losing because of this situation.  I'll leave my Bodyspace up and if anyone needs advice or help, just send me an email and I'll be more than happy to answer it.  Till then, peace out folks

I jut laughed my ass off at this one.  By the way I am having o much fun finding this shit.  It is amazing how hated he Goodrum really is.  I give him huge props for not killing himself.

One thing I will be doing later in the year. I will have the gyno surgery and I plan to videotape the whole process and put it on-line to help pay for it. It will be exclusive to Mayhem and it should be interesting

On his chest development

My side chest pose is not great but not mutilated neither.

Just some bullsshit

Fact is that you don't need any of that shit you're taking. You simply need to dump all that supplement garbage and get your meal plan right. Go to www.anaboliccooking.com and get your shit together. Thanks to David Ruel, I found out the truth and now I eat like a king, build slabs of muscle and I have a lot more money in my bank account because I'm not spending every freaking dime on products that DON'T WORK.

Talking to someone

You are truly a delusional idiot. My pinkie has more muscle than your entire body. It would have been better for you just to not post pictures up but you did......

BTW, that picture was 4 1/2 years ago. The other picture was 6 or 7 years ago. Still doesn't have any bearing on the present day in which I've chiseled like a fucking statue of David thanks to something called "Asking for Help". You should try that sometime....

Did someone mention Melvin Goodrum?

Well, I don't think he is gay. One theme that comes up regularly with Goodrum is saving money. This dude is parsimonious. Did I say he was frugal? So, living with a bloke is great because now he doesn't have to work and he stays home and trains and watches TV. His superior brain figured out it is a small sacrifice to keep a guy happy in exchange for being on easy street. Only in North Carolina!

I'm gonna get slated for this but you've got to have an ever-so-slight admiration for Goodrum's resilience on here - I mean I don't think I've ever known a Getbigger take so much shit over such a long period of time, and on Getbig of all places. Nearly every day he gets told he's a piece of shit and to go kill himself.

He may not be the greatest bodybuilder in the world (or a bodybuilder at all for that matter) but he can sure take an online beating. Lesser men would have topped themselves by now. Fair play to ya Vince!  :)

I'm sick of seeing the amount of hate and abuse thrown his way, which is way over the top and far more than what he deserves. Yes, he's delusional and has made mistakes, but so have all the people who call him names. Half the guys who insult him every chance they get don't even have anything against him personally - they just join in cause it's safe to hate from behind the keyboard, not to mention there's always a couple of guys ready to join in the fun, cause they can't stop obsessing over him.

Should we really sorry for him? Should we stop? Here is a guy who is posing as some nutritional/fitness expert. He is falsely advertising his expertise, while taken advantage of people (taking their money). We know Goodrum can't get anyone in shape; still, he takes peoples hard earn money, and sells them a bullshit claim.

In my opinion, Goodrum is akin to a psychic. They take advantage of many people at their most vulnerable stages (if a family member dies). Psychics are bullshit, but they have no problem selling you something that is totally false. They take someones hard earn money.

How is Vince any different than this? Some people are very distraught by their bodies. They hopefully go to trainers because they want to change their body. They find Goodrum who can't even train himself. They shell out their hard earned money and look the same year after year. He's no Coach, but he claims to be.

Thus, Goodrum gets everything he deserves for being a lying snake to the people he serves.

Yes you have. He lets it roll off his back, but I still don't see why he's so hated. I can understand a douche like Derek Anthony getting that kind of abuse, cause he asks for it, but Vince seldom starts shit on anyone here and certainly doesn't call them names. Guys like Onlyme are very angry and frustrated with life, and I guess he's an easy target that lets them blow off some steam.

Are you saying he knows absolutely nothing about anything that's related to lifting or dieting? Yes, he looked like a mess when he stepped on stage, but he looks decent now. At least way better than guys like Basile and Onlyme who keep putting him down every post they make.

No person who knows a thing or two about lifting or a professional athlete is going to hire him as their trainer. But I'm sure Vince has something to offer for the average person in the street, like housewives, who live sedentary lifestyles and know next to nothing about weight loss or dieting. There are worse people out there like Dave Palumbo or any of the shysters who promote the latest 6 minute workout machine in infomercials, who intentionally set out to scam people with fraudulent products or promises  - the whole fitness industry is full of people like that.

The people who keep hating on him go way over the line, calling him and his partner names. My point is that it's getting tiresome to see people pick on him just because he's an easy target that is "safe" to mock. He's been bashed for 5 - 6 years now and I think people should give it a break.

Even then, it really doesn't matter to be.  When it comes to Getbig, its is just another message board forum.  It is no real influence on the bodybuilding or fitness industry.

Of course, me and Ron will be rivals when me and a few friends of mine open up our own site.  It will be very unique to the bodybuilding community and I'm quite sure it will be very successful.  I've invested a lot of money into it and the design itself is like no other one out there.

Yeah he's gonna make the 1999 version of Ronnie Coleman look twinkish in comparison.

Goodrum can bullshit all day long. He has been doing it for years and laughing behind our backs. He had a discussion forum up a couple of years ago so I registered and posted a few times. There were two members only posting there....both named Vince! I thought the lads here would have joined in the fun but not a single soul from the Flotsam had the audacity to join Goodrum's forum.

Vince, I heard you were supposed to get a job as a trainer for the Atlanta Falcons. What happened? Were you too overqualified?

I wouldn't invent anything as stupid as dumbbells and barbells. Throw them in the ocean where they belong.  Give me great machines any day.
Purple ones by any chance?  :)

Do you remember his feud with Guy Grundy?  Or Chris Mason?

Just to add a little more, Vince started a lot of shit back in the days of Mayhem.  When he was exposed as looking horrible, it just became too much fun to shit on him.  It's hard to break a cycle like that.

Let me speak on this.

First off, as far as the pic is concerned, I would look much bigger than a lot of pros if I took a picture next to them.  Why??  Because I'm 6 ft tall and most pros like Ronnie Coleman are 5'10 and below. The key however is the width & density of the individual bodyparts.  It could be a fake or real picture however no-one ever takes height that into consideration.  That's why I think the picture is real.

That's Steve Hoochman.  He's an affiliate of Ryan Lee just like me and Coach.  He's good at what he does

Funny thing is that his facility that you see is actually a rented storage garage...... He pays peanuts for his place:o

wonder how Coach feels being grouped with fukface?

Hockman is not an affiliate of Ryan Lee, he's an affiliate of Bedros Keuilian. I've been an affiliate of Ryan Lee before Vince knew what a weight was.

I gotta tell I find that surprising that Basile said that.  Barbells and dumbells are the best.  The best built bodies ever were made primarily from them (70' & 80's)

On MD I think I saw this one. Some guy was making fun of him like always after Goodrum mentioned he was in the Army (it was actually ROTC).

Goodrum Quote; "you have alot of balls considering I was defending our country so you can have fun"  I shouldn't make this an exact quote but it is really close.
