I have - it's been several years though. Actually, it was trap shooting where the clay came out of a trap house. I averaged about 60%. Don't know if that was good or not.

tons of fun can get quite pricey though
is your cheek a little tender stella?

I was thinking the same thing $
I remember spending about $100 bucks on shells, although that was for shooting on a couple of different days. I remember the shoulder being a little sore.

yup and paying for the range and then tipping the thrower can get pretty expensive...I think its generally about 35-40 bucks or so for 2 rounds
I use this little wells fargo coach gun type shot gun with two short side by side barrels, no butt pad...thing whaps you pretty good but its always my cheek thats sore for a day or two after

Now that I press on it, it is.
My shoulder is sore.
It was like $46 w/tip but I didn't have to pay for any ammo yesterday...I will next time though.
I got a 29 which is terrible but I was using a 28 instead of a 12 gage...plus it was my first time. Apparently I may have done better w/a 12 gage.
I was going to use a "Bellini?" but it "bit" my thumbnail when I loaded it one time. I don't like it >:(

I think you mean Benelli, ya I would think you would do a little better with a 12 gauge but you could probably get a choke for the 28 if you dont like the kick of the 12...ive never even heard of a 28 gauge before :D
tons of fun, next we will get you out deer hunting ;D

Yes yes... just scanned it again.. would you get nervous thinking that you'd miss? I mean, after hitting every single one did your mind mess w/you at all during the comp. that you would miss?

i learned long ago that if i held the gun right, had my glasses angled correctly....and had my feet in the proper position...i would never miss.....if anything felt wrong before i called a target, i would open my gun...and completly reset...
i gained alot of OCD from shooting ;D

DOes this mean you got 1000 hits in a row? :o
The "rabbit" ones are tricky because they bounce....I missed all of them.

yes....it means 1000 in a row........but it was on skeet....
on sporting clays the most i have ever done was around 500 straight...
the rabbits are easy once you find your lead..

How is skeet different?
-
How is skeet different?
every sporting clays field is different....every skeet field is the same...
^^^^^
this guy is on a skeet field..

he is also starting his gun in the "international position".....the olympics uses a different form of skeet, and trap shooting with different rules......the way he holds his gun at his waist when he calls for the bird is something done in international....in american skeet, you start with the gun shoulder mounted...

it's a lot of fun. I have a benelli 12g. But have shot with others. still a blast
-
Thanks for the vid bench!
Migs, how do you load your benelli w/o it biting your thumbnail?
-
i dunno like a normal person i guess lol. If push comes to shove use the other catridge to feed the first one all the way in.

i have a different barrel though, cause that rib is way to high.....i prefer a skeet, or sporting clay height vent rib...
