Kai Kali Muscle with muscle, heavy weight :)
Thats Kali Muscle, the same dude who was doing playground pull ups, and other lifts, and he claimed being natural at the time. His workout partner was a dude with nipple rings...

Kali Muscle is his real name? wtf

Brutal belly button.

Brutal asymmetrical biceps :D

Brutal belly button.
I had posted a arm workout of his on the training board, months ago, and I don't know when the vids were shot, but is seriously a WHOLE lot bigger. Interesting way he does one tri exercise: he lays on the bench crossways so that only his upper body is resting on the bench, like a pull over. He has a dumbell and does a triceps exercise either across his face or up and down. It's like a arm tricep press, but more difficult, if you have two dumbells it's replicating a skull crusher, without the bar, and you get a further stretch because you don't have the bench hindering the path of the dumbells.

Keith looks spot on. Rob Burnieka looks soft as always and Kukclo looks good but doubt he can get past keith. Chad Lacount is spot on also and will push Keith a bit

Keith still looks nothing like the photos posted well over a year ago ???
Even though I was pretty much the only one for 22 pages + to claim they were shopped into oblivion ???
oh gee I wonder why lol

Keiths quads aren't as good as Huhs or Bumieka's but his overall shape and conditioning is a bit better. Huh will give him a run though but think Keith structurally is much better

Two words....Fred Smalls !!

Two words....Fred Smalls !!
He's smooth right now, or at the weigh-ins was. Has a lot of water to drop (some could be fat) and looks 3 weeks out.

jason huh weighed in at 257lbs at 5'7.5
What, he shrunk in height? Flex did a story on him a while back and he was listed as 5'10. HD better had improved that weak back of his.

Huh is short as hell. Kieth is like 6'3 so you'll see a huge difference when they stand beside each other. Chad Lacount is tall also I think, like 5'11ish. I personally think it's between Keith and Chad if politics don't play a roll. I'm hearing some say Bumieka will take the overall, I hope not.

Burneika is all hype, ugly physique. Exposure be damned, there are others more deserving and hopefully will get it. And Burneika will go no where but to the bottom of the pile if he gets his pro card, or take off 1-2 to get ready...

Like Mark Dugdale before him, this guy has the T-Rex syndrome, too!

NEVER JUDGE A CONTEST BY THE PHOTOS!
Now that I've said that, it looks like Keith will win the overall!
Any Picture Judging Officials out there who would like to pick the contest photo winners before the 4:30 PM prejudging?
-
One of the GetBiggers made an interesting comment after seeing these weigh-in photos that the quality of this year's USA contenders is far below the days of Shawn Ray and Flex Wheeler.
I sort-of-kind-of tend to agree with that statement. But I do reserve the right to change my mind after the prejudging.
But if that photo observation is correct, why is it that this year's contenders are not up to par when compared to the competitors in the Shawn era?
-
One last comment and then I'm heading down to the prejudging.....
The guys and gals at Flexonline did one hell of a great job getting the weigh-in photos on line so swiftly. Thanks, Flexonline people!

Drugs, lack of work ethic. I don't think it's the gene pool, because it's a lot bigger now. It was just that era of bbers had the best genes+work ethic+presentation. Ronnie, Shawn, John Sherman, Flex, Chris, Levrone, they all were the shit and would wipe the for with this line up.
-
Jason Huh is a tank
his head really throws off his proportions though . . .

Yes, bodybuilders rely to heavily on drugs these days while lacking the work ethic guys like Shawn Ray had.

He looks odd in the side triceps pose, and he has high lats and shallow back detail.

are you implying that bodybuilders like shawn and flex didnt rely on drugs just as much if not more than present day bodybuilders?...

Plus i think it really has become a freak show that attracts idiots. Look at an old shawn training tape; see how he articulates ? Now flash forward to your average ifbb idiot being interviewed on camera. Know what I mean?
-
Mortalcoil mentioned Fred Smalls and I also think he deserves a look from the GetBig crowd., but when comparing these two shots, I think Josh will place higher.
-
Hawaii's bantamwt, John Ligsay, good athlete and exceptional family man has entered more NPC USA Bodybuilding Championships since the days of Hercules. I think his best showing was a couple of years back when he placed 2nd in his class.
I hope he takes his class this year and stands up there with the chance of winning his pro card - very difficult for a bantam though.

-
are you implying that bodybuilders like shawn and flex didnt rely on drugs just as much if not more than present day bodybuilders?...
Of course not. Nor did amateur bodybuilders of the 80's and 90's rely on juice as much as the amateur bodybuilders now day do. Is this seriously something you didn't already know? :-\
-
Oppps! Sorry, John... here's a bigger pic....
Way too smooth for a bantam

Is that Paranthesis Devers in the background?
-
Is that Paranthesis Devers in the background?
yes,,he's been placing high again last few yrs and could get pro card he looks good, even relaxed there in backround.ron mentioned that there given 4 men's pro cards up 2 from previous so you get overall and top 3 builds taken from the seven class winners, they need more pro's i guess.usa was once overall or nothing show.
-
well not having a dog in this fight.. i was around in the 80's.. 90's.. and now.. the drug abuse was big in all the decades.. not a huge difference in the anabolic in take at all.. maybe the slin and hgh.. but anabolics have stayed fairly constant..
-
Mortalcoil mentioned Fred Smalls and I also think he deserves a look from the GetBig crowd., but when comparing these two shots, I think Josh will place higher.
Josh has great arms. I hope he places better than he did at the LA where he got 4th last weekend, screwed because he is from La not LA.

If Jason Huh weighed in at 257lbs, that means he was about 300lbs off season, at 5'7".He must have waddled when he walked in the off season.I dont think you could put any more mass on his frame.I dont think it would be humanly possible.Wasnt he a light heavyweight a few years back, Jesus.....

He said he gained 20 pounds of muscle this past year. He looks to be the winner of the show. Still sporting a small waist for a SHW.

Robert Burneika at prejudging of 2010 NPC USA

Keith williams = overrated
Jason Huh should win his class.
-
LHWs and up are all trash. This cant be the National or USA line up. If MattT had any desire to advance in bbing...with the right drug regime and a weight 195...he would win a Pro Card with his structure (pretty classic) against this line up...given he cant fill out as a midde weight like he thinks. WTF are these guys on vs guys during Shawn, Flex, Cormier and Kevin's era? They are bloated like pigs but have less quality muscle ??? which doesnt make sense.
Shawn Allen is almost 40 and needs to get a job and take care of his kids instead of f##king up money yr in and out for nothing. His legs are done and he is losing size in his upper body now.
Now...I see how peter putnam got a Pro Card.
-
Huh looks the best to me!
-
huh looks sick, too bad about burneika's conditioning, williams looks like shit
-
I think its Jason HUHs show to win.If Robert Burneika, would have came in the same condition he was in lat year at Nationals we would have won.I think working with Dennis Wolfe harmed him more then helped him.Roberts Glutes arent in, they were last year. The guy on the right, I think Chad Lacount, look tiny next to the ret of the other 4 guys.He looks like a light heavyweight in a super heavy weight line up.
Jason HUH looks actually bigger then Robert Burneika.I would never thought any bodybuilder on the National level would be as bigger as Robert.Because was was a 315lbs ex strong man with 24" arms.Jason huh, is probably the biggest and most muscular men to ever step on a National stage. He even had his glutes in.I have never seen a man 5'7" step on a national stage at 257lbs and be that big and hard. That is the equalivent to a man who is 5'9" being 277lbs, a man 5'10" being 287lbs, a man 5'11" being 297lbs and a man 6 ft, being 307lbs.The rule is basically 10lbs of muscle per inch.
By the looks of thing Jason Huh should win the show.
-
Musclecenter, good job! Thanks for the input.

Who's your pick for the cards?

The guy on the right is Brian Yersky sp, it could have easily been Chad or others IMO.
-
Sadly, Jason looks good from the front, but has no mid or lower back. Lazy ass has "Dennis Wolf Disease", if he gets his pro cars, hecwill go no where. These guys are pathetic. The middleweight and LHW have more quality.
Ever since they had the SHW, that class has been straight shit, booty. And I think that is one of the keys to quality. Because, most if they do turn pro, don't get bigger than that.
-

Jason Huh is 257lbs ...if his back was on par with the rest of his physique he might have weighed closer to 270lbs
he has time to improve that area

guy has nasser n wolf back genetics. sorry...the buck stops at the middleweights. LHW and up look like s##t. this is a horrible National level show. you can easily see how peter putham? got his pro-card. if MattT got serious...he has the genetics to fill-in at 195 n get his card.
-

Thats the problem, he's 257 without a quality back. And that sucks. It shows where his priorities are. Phil turned pro with a quality back. Huh, looks good from the front, but he doesn't look 257, and if he is, he'd look better at 215 and in another weight class.
-
Parker and G-string...I'm there at the show in 2nd row. Does the guy need work on his back? Yes. Chest? yes.
But he is anything but lazy. He's made a shitload of improvements since last year and upped the weight from 232 last year USA. He probably will never have a Colemen-esq back but Cutler didn't have his back when he won his class in the Nationals. You do know Jason is only 25 right?
I demand an apology on his behalf you fellas are gum flapping and making false accusations. Lazy he is not.

???
i hope the bbers look better in person than from the photos. he looks horrible when compared to an amateur cutler or zuccolotto. the whole field above LHW looks like s##t. guys have unbalanced body parts, distension, jug gh heads, etc. and they need to ban sean allen so he can use the drug money to care for his kids.

Back wins shows. All the great USA winners had great backs. Shawn, Flex, Chris, Melvin, Richard Jones, Phil Heath, Dennis James. If a person is 257 @ 5'7 and has a shitty back and chest, something is wrong. Improvement---dude gained weight, but it wasn't quality. He is shit, booty, basically the whole SHW division is trash. Eff them. LHW, HW, and MW are the better classes, better conditioning, better muscle quality.
I'm not just singling out Huh, but all of the SHW, just look at them, they are just big, with no quality muscle. If the NPc wants quality people to go on and be quality pros, either they get rid of the SHW division or they need to promote the lighter guys, who end up being the better pros, a la Dex, who of course had a great back. None in the SHW division can make a dent in the pros like Phil, Shawn, Chris, Dex, Flex, DJ or even Jay did.
This has to be from the pics and vids one of the worse USAs to date. Eff them.
-
Maybe it's the angle of the shot but all the guys look weird in the carpet room pics, maybe it's the lens of aperture on the camera but they all look like they are protruding from the gut, like slight palumboism..

All of them looked weird, period. Like ass backwards weird.
-
Not sure why nobody is mentioning Keith Williams. He has a good chance at taking the superheavies. Looks better in the standing front and back relaxed than Jason H. Jason beats him on a few of the front poses but don't think he beats Keith from the back. These 2 are #1 and #2, as of pre-judging as both were the only ones compared only once, in the firstcall out. Don't get me wrong, Keith doesn't look incredible or anything, but he's better conditioned and a big fuking guy too. Just needs to bring up his legs.

He shouldn't have. Too smooth for an overall let alone his own weight class. Freaky parts but shouldn't have won. Augusta looked awesome and that should've been the overall.

The point that Parker is trying to make is that the SHW class guys just seem to be interested in what they weigh, and not quality muscle. Now this is Dorian Yates at 257 lbs of quality muscle and at 5`10".Jason Huh could easily drop another 20lbs,but nowadays everyone in the heavies and SHW class just seems to concentrate on what they weigh, whereas the lighter classes have to get down to a weight class number and thats why they always look in the best condition.

...4 pro cards given to Men's bb.

Good legs, arms, Shitty back, shitty hams, and hopefully he does shitty in the Pros, because, like most competitors today with shitty backs, they never improve, they won their Pro car with a shitty back, which mean that they were rewarded for shittiness, why improve?
Fuck this, just like Peter Putnam!
NPC, Manion, judges all of you listen, you are helping to eff up Pro bbing by giving imcomplete bodybuilders Pro cards

Clam down,bro ;D

Parker you cant expect perfection from a 25 year old bodybuilder. You sound bitter in this thread. Jason is 20-25lbs bigger than last year. The judges probably told him last year that he was too small to win the class and to try to come in bigger for 2010. So he did.
Quads look great, Arms look great, waist looks tight (impressive after adding so much mass), and good overall flow. Pec/delt tie-in looks good on the front double Bi.

at 150$ ahead x 500 competitors...jim isnt listening to anything but a cash register. bikini division...given the girls increase the head count and ticket sales at any amateur npc show...insures him a 200k plus salary from his current 178k or whatever.
none of those guys will do s##t in the pros. there arent even the brandname guys coming thru the ranks anymore. i remember the day when i was a kid and followed shawn ray from the teens - the nationals via the magazines.

I'm not bitter, I'm pissed, because he's another bber who won't do jack piss in the pros. So, the eff what, the judges told him to come in bigger. He's bigger but not better. He does have good flow, but he has no EFFING mid or lower back and saoft hams. At 257 @5'7, he should have a back to rival the back of Phil Heath when he first turned Pro, but he doesn't. And he's conditioning was not crisp. He really wasn't impressive except for his size, which of course he got bigger just for that sake. And as I suspected, Judges effing up the quality. I tired of seeing piss poor physiques being rewarded in the Amatuer ranks, which then go on and pollute the IFBB with piss poor physiques. What's up with that? Why did they want to promote One eye Peter Putnam, a feel good story.? Why did they want Huh, because he is half Asian, which means, that they can say someone of Asian descent won the overall at the USAs? Or that they want more Asians in bbing? And Not to mention that Flex has been heavily pormoting Huh, for about two yrs now. Even bumping up his height. I think there are more reasons afoot that just 'he was told to get bigger". Just like piss poor Kamali was thanking one of the judges for helping get his pro card, right in the pages of Flex. And guess who that judge was? Theblond chick that said, "Shawn comes in the looking the same every year", and she is now dead.
Nasser= impressive from the front, no back
Wolf=Impressive from the front, no back
Dillett=Impressive from the front no back
Strydom=Impressive from the front, no back
Bertil Fox=Impressive from the front,, no back
Are you seeing a trend here?
Fact is, the SHW division is the PISS POOR, BUT BIG DIVISION. The HW, LHW, and MW are where the true quality is, and those are the ones' who have the more pleasing lines and the better conditioning. Period. You can't argue with that.

Check out the video of Lee Seung Cheol, 2010 Korea Men's Bodybuilding Overall Winner.
His back and calf not very good, but I think that he still owns the over-all winner of USA.

Yes, he does. Better flow, better conditioning. Just better period.

Vladimir Sizov, heavyweight's winner is the clear & true overall-winner if judge by pics and video.
He has pretty good balanced and aesthetic physique(see video).
Has the more pleasing line and the better condition! He even does not need tanning!

He's got no chest. Looks good but won't be shit as a pro. Augusta should've gotten the overall

I fail to see that he has "no" back.

I didn't realize how good he really was until I saw those comparsion shots. He needs to be darker.

dude i dont mind you commenting on shiny things like cars and watches, its your nature,
but shut the fuck up about bodybuilding, you no nothing about it and dont even compete
Hun shouldn't have won. He wasn't even in proper condition, just another stubby bodybuilder who will probably only get worse as a pro. His physique has no room to grow without throwing off his proportions even furthur
-

Once again, another ignorant ass statement from epic "gimmick" alien. Seems like it's in your nature. And so, by your supremely epic logic, only people who compete can make comments? And by the way, it's "know", not "no". Which it seems you don't "know" not the usage of the verb "know" and the adjective "no".
And yes, I do know, bbing. I was one of the few here that said that Roelly was one to watch this yr, and I said that last yr. Also, Fankhouser, who is steadily rising, and have gotten into it with Melvin Anthony on here about his shitty conditioning, among other things.
Do, you think Huh should have won the overall? He has mass, but not quality mass. You add that little by little. The NPC virtually has no credibility now, the USAs used to br' a bastion for quality and put forth some good competitors, now they are hit or miss.
-
Parker I think youre spending too much time looking at chicks on youtube. Cant judge bodybuilders quick fast like you judge a booty video. These guys train hard. Look at the positives of this kids physique.
