???

hahaha once i'd had the same problem
-
???
start in safe mode Press F8 while it is starting up
-
That error means either your cpu is overheating, so stick some new thermal grease on the cpu, make sure the cooler is fixed properly and not full of dust if that fails put new cooler on it, take the side off the case and stick a room fan on it for the time being or it means your ram is fucked in which case buy some new stick\sticks, most likely its the first option.

Ah the famous "Blue Screen of Death" as Disturbia says try to start in it in safe mode, then shutdown and restart normally. If thats doesnt work you pretty much have to reload the operating system.

FDISK. Works every time.
Anyways. 90% of blue screens come from the video drivers trying to load content it couldn't

Safe mode wont do shit, his cpu is overheating so even it does boot he'll get same error eventually, or his ram is bad.
"IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"
The clues are there.

True - I've had this problem before except it was with the graphics card wearing out. I reinstalled the operating system (shitty Vista) but that didn't solve the problem - the problem is hardware related, not software. Once I bought a new graphics card I've never had the problem again. In this case it is the CPU.
Trouble is, you might want to buy and install the same model of CPU as you've already got - buying an upgrade may mean you have to flash the BIOS - and then it's knowing which BIOS is most compatible - the newest BIOS update isn't always the best one. You'll fuck up your whole computer if you get it wrong - an expensive mistake to make.
-
That computer is NASSER'D
-
Whatever the problem you know Goodrum has something to do with it. he is slowly going to get us all.

His cpu is likely fine, Im going to take a guess wherever he is its boiling hot, the air con sucks in his computer room and he has his Computer Case inside some kind of Cabinet killing the airflow.

Yep, the airflow could be the problem - if it isn't possible to rearrange the computer to a cooler part of the room, then it may be of benefit just to buy a new heatsink and fan which I think are only a couple of bucks.

Get Big Dicked Bobs to remotely connect and fix this issue.

Thanks everyone, thanks DB.
I started to restore, and it's still copying files because I didn't know any better.
I did notice that the heat sink was extremely hot, my fan is working good and everything.
Thanks again for the info, I guess that is the problem!

If this dont work dawg just contact a rich hot cougar to buy you a new one for servies rendered.
-
That could also mean something is wrong with a piece of hardware, drivers wise. Go into device manager, make sure that all the drivers are installed and running ok!
Blue screen of death sucks!

Thanks, it doesn't even get to the first windows xp screen before this pops up. I've tried safe mode.

Ronaldo Geraldo Faldo sabotaged it to clear 3-7 "Would you hit it threads" off the boards a day.
-
Safe mode not going to help unless u know what you're doing.
Load your back up from 2 months back.
But it seems like a hardware problem tho.
-
From what I've come across before I'd say it's either overheating like everyone else is saying or it could be the power supply. You might need a new stronger one to replace those 300 watt standard ones.
-
haha Eyeballs, got the same blue screen just recently. It's nothing series though. Still think another keylogger was put on the computer so off it goes.
-
This works for me -
Power down the computer, even if you have to hold the power button down for about ten seconds - like I have to do on my laptop. When I turn the power back on, it gives me the option of starting in safe mode.
Start in safe mode and let it boot all the way up. After that, just do a normal restart and I always get everything back that way.
I've just found that it works for my laptop.

Is she hot?
Yeah, but her ex-cop, karate loving husband could probably teach me a lesson that would make me turn my back on milfs forever. :o
-
Dude, it is faulty RAM problem. Google the problem.
-
It can also be the motherboard. CPUs rarely go out. Take a can of air duster, hold it upside down and blow it on the CPU heatsink. If it comes up then, it probably does need more thermal paste. If that doesn't work, trade out the RAM. If that doesn't work, its probably the motherboard. On some motherboards, when they go out you will see a kind of pink goo coming out of the top of some of the capacitors, or the tops of the caps will be starting to bulge up. They don't always do it, but its a quick easy check and if it is happening, you'll know immediately what the problem is.
-
Thanks guys, I'm going to keep trouble shooting. I'll let you know how it goes.

Had ubuntu on my old computer, but I had trouble installing games on it.
-
I love the people preaching macs, ubuntu etc, some people actually like having a large selction of software to choose from on their pc.
-
I never had a problem with my 5 year old Mac but this morning it shut down completely so I took it to the Apple Store and they plugged it into some diagnostic machine and discovered a dead battery and a faulty power cord.
So the Apple person took each item off the shelf, unwrapped them, installed them. and ran it through another diagnostic program to insure that it ran as good as new.
The parts alone came to more than $120 but there was no charge at all.
I know of no other computer company that provides the service that Apple does.
Apple always seem to treat their customers as friends and is always ready to answer any questions about the hardware and the software even if it take a lot of time to explain it thoroughly.
