For better or worse, pro BB is a size game. If you don't want to play the size game there is always natural BB contests. :-\
People are not going to pay to see someone ripped, shredded, and smaller than guys they have seen in previous contests.

He is competing in the 202. There is a limit to the size he can bring.

baygbm is correct.. bodybuilding is about size.. dont have to play the game but, you will be at the end of the pack.. he can only be 202 for so long.. that class is too limiting.. he won light heavies at nationals.. he will outgrow 202 whether he likes it or not.. he already stated that he wil be competing in a year or so at 215 or so..

Looks good. Forearms could be bigger to match his upper arms.

And does anyone really pay attention to the 202 class? I think not. People (money) follows the size and no 202 purse is going to compete with the coin offered to the bigger guys. Be it contest winnings, magazine exposure, endorsement deals, or guest appearances, or schmoe appeal... Sad but true. :(
At 5'6" do you think anyone would even notice Branch if he were 202?

ONCE AGAIN AGREE.. the 202 is too limiting and therefore getting boring.. henry, eduardo, jose, english are all now 'training to maintain".. they have maxed out the class and can not afford to gain another ounce of muscle.. so how does one correct a weak point? they cant.. henry has a "weakness" of his quad and hams.. yet he can not afford to gain any more muscle.. this class puts him a a disadvantage so to speak.. we will see the same henry, eduardo, jose ect ect for now on in this silly class.. they are having a hard time making weight as its is.. now they sit and watch some of the others in that class play catch up..
the open class is more exciting because we dont know what look the competitors are going to bring... will some strealine a bit? will some go for a freakier look.. it varies from show to show.. but not in the 202.. thats is why the money is not there..
so what is the solution? simple really.. the guys in the 202 are 56 and under.. make it a short class.. a optional short class.. one can enter the open or the short class if he qualifies.. this allows the guys to bring what ever look they feel is better for them.. english has said he feel that 215 or 220 is better for him.. so be it.. henry would be about 210 or 212 i feel.. but it gives them the freedom to bring their best look.. and it makes the class more exciting.. what will english bring? what will henry look like.. it brings the excitment into a rather dull class..
right now all we are doing is holding some back with this silly 202.. it is like lowering the hoops in basket ball because it is not fair for the little guys.. holding back the muscle gains for others to catch up is just as silly.. either you have the ability or not..

Seth made great gains this past year. I think he will win this 202 show. He said he is young and wants to compete in the open class. So he wants to get bigger.

OK is it me or are we witnessing a *jump* in the level or some competitors in regards to their freakish apearance? Look at Jay getting crazy tight, look at a few others popping up here and there. By no means is it wide spread, but at the risk of being a conspiracy theorist I would say there are some fucking science fiction compounds making the rounds...

Make it a HEIGHT class... "Short man class".
under 5' 4" or whatever. let them get as big as they want. barefoot measurements (so no bullshitting) and let them gain whatever they need to gain, to win.

I agree with all you fuckers. Even a 212lb class would mean another good couple years of solid ass competition between these mighty midgets. Its getting maxed out and these dudes just can't hang in the open class yet.
I don't know how keen they'd be on having a "short" class though. Think of their poor egos lol. 212lbs would be pretty wild. I don't think guys like Jackson could get this low but guys like Henry, Correa and English could engage in epics battles at this weight class. I also wouldn't mind seeing Lee in the mix. Despite being in the game so long he hasn't devolved and started getting Palumbois... he doesn't have a gut, muscles are still full, triceps are in tact and quads are still round and separated. Dude responds to drugs miraculously and needs to compete. Almost looks better after tearing his bicep for fuck sakes!

Correa has A LOT of potential to compete in the open. i hope his structure could take the extra pounds though..
