But while Birdman looks he just escaped a detention center full of pissed off 5 year olds with 'sharpies' and rhyme delivery sounds as if he sports a sub 95 IQ, the guy has carried his wealth over the years. Even back in the late nineties before P. Diddy or whatever he calls himself now signed Birdman & Slim's record label Cashmoney to a deal, the main members were sporting Jaguars, Hummer H1s', and Dodge Vipers. At first many thought he was involved in a large drug ring, however I seriously doubt this considering the DEA would be all over his "swaggtastic ass" by now. But could you imagine how much more bank this guy would have if he kept empty purchases or flamboyant gifts(briefcase with one million dollars inside) to a minimum? :(

He has an exclusive deal with Universal similiar to Master P's that gives him about 30 million dollars before a Cash Money record is ever printed but the big winner is that in that agreement, he maintains ownership of all of the Masters. Basically, instead of making a few pennies per sale of a record, Cash Money gets about 2-3 dollars for every record sold.
Basically he copied what Master P did and made a fortune. Master P btw is almost at 700 million now. They are simply getting a nice cut out of everything out there. Even if an artist they sign sells 100,000 records, they make the same amount of money off of it as if a regular artist sold 15 million records.
In less than 5 years, Birdman will be a Billionaire. But don't forget that he started out in the late 80's

Yes, he's worth way more than 50 Cent and its all due to how they signed their distribution deals, not by the number of records they sell. Don't forget that Master P and Birdman have been record producers since the late 80s so they've been in business a lot longer than Curtis. As far as Mannie Fresh is concerned, he left Cash Money for financial reasons and went to Def Jamand only recently returned. He doesn't have any stake in CMR. Birdman hired Mannie to be an in-house producer. He's nothing more than an employee of CMR.
Like I said, it doesn't matter how many records you sell, its really about how much money you're getting per record sold and Birdman and Master P played it smart and signed deals that made them more money per record sale as well as retention of the Masters.
But you are right about Jay Z and P Diddy. His net worth worth is close to 500 million and P Diddy is worth about 450 Million which is more than Birdman. However the amounts are pretty much relative. All these guys are in their 40's and have been around so long which is why they have so much money.

Master P had some failed business ventures but he's still making a lot of money because of the deals he made in the past. No different than Donald Trump. Corporations are separate entities so when they go bankrupt, it doesn't affect their personal assets. That's why people set up corporations to begin with
The Nickeleon deal was actually made him and his son a ton of money. Show ran for 3 years.

The funniest thing is that they all act like big players, while for example in Europe nobody gives a flying fuck about those guys. ;D Diddy was on Germany tour few years ago and half the gigs were canceled becaue of lousy ticket sales and the rest of the gigs they played in halfway empty halls. :D In Berlin where the biggest show was planned, they didn't even sell 50 % of the tickets so they wanted to hire one of germans most popular rappers last minute as opening act to get the hall at least halfway crowded. They offered him 10.000 $ for opening the show as they didn't even have more money left, the rapper told em to fuck themselves and hung up, and again they played in an halfway empty hall in Berlin. ;D
