Title: Remember Vanadyl Sulphate?
Post by: Master Blaster on August 13, 2010, 01:36:55 PM
Vanadyl kinda considered a junk supplement now (Remember Bill Phillips said it was kinda like d-bol!). Anyhoo, I could swear it made a difference during an unfortunate bulking cycle (oh lord) I did a lond term back. Any thoughts?

I remember guys using that with creatine mono.
Most of the people I knew who "liked" it had the fortune of using it in conjunction with a good diet, solid training regimen, and most of them had decent genetics.
Hence, I'm not sure it's appropriate to credit the Vanadyl.

I kind of regard Vanadyl PH as 1993's effervescent Methoxy-Myo-wondersupplement.
It hasn’t withstood the test of time like the basics have.
But, that’s not to say it is totally useless.

At the same time, comments like those B.P. made don't exactly help the cause.
Phillips had a one-hit-wonder with creatine, but eventually overstayed his welcome.

Vanadyl actually always worked well for me. Nothing dramatic, but a definite effect in enhancing glycogen storage. I still use it today with my heavy carb meals (meal 1 and post workout). I take a product called V3 by All American EFX (also has taurine and chromium).
