Does anyone think that the animosity in American politics could lead to some kind of violence? I guess I'm curious to know if it's always been this way, as well. I don't remember this type of vitriol when I was younger, but maybe I just wasn't politically aware yet.
In the Rwandan Genocide, the press fueled the massacre long before it happened (and even help direct some of the violence).
I understand they were very different circumstances than modern US politics, but is the tone of violence increasing?
People talk about killing people right here on these boards, which is just insane.
I wonder what would happen if Beck or Limbaugh advocated for violence. Would they be censored for it?

Funny you mention Beck or Limbaugh when its the anit-war or anti globalization crowds that have led to major violence....not a whole lot out of Tea baggers.
