Ok so I have been at the same gym for more than a year and have to vent.
There is a guy I see all the time, 43ish, overweight always walks around the gym in tank top (big gut) and shorts. Has a mullet and always wears a ball cap, at one point I thought the hair was attached to the hat.
Severe body dismorphia thinking he is bigger than he is and alot less bodyfat. He will try and curl 75 lb DB's, grunt and drop them, shaking his head like he is the shit. Grunts during warmups as well as bigger lifts. Doesn't workout legs and never any cardio.
Gives unsolicited workout advice....Once told someone he will train the same bodypart 5 days in a row to bring it up. He did 1 MMA fight,( saw a newspaper clipping) lost in secs as his tricep tore so the young numbnuts treat him like he is Brock Lesnar. >:(
The true lifters like myself just chuckle at this guy but his ego is continually growing as well as his belly.....
Would you say something to this jackass and put him in his place....
Granted he is probably 6'2 maybe 250 and I 5'8" 190 lbs or would you just suck it up and continually enjoy the show?
You know you have someone like this in your gym

I would enjoy the show, but always visibly smirk at him in the presence of others to let the room know he ain't shit.

Every gym has a guy like that. Trust me, one day someone will give him a reality check.
Just let someone else give it to him, avoid the headache.

This alone just owns the guy.

I know guys like that, just ignore him, he will have to face the reality someday.
But yes, is really annoying when these guys gives you "unsolicited workout advice".

enjoy the show?
Yes, enjoy the show. Watching some people at the gym is very entertaining and makes cardio seem to go by quickly.
We had a (very pretty) girl at our gym that would go from mirror to mirror...rarely ever lifting any weights..but she would walk around the gym and look at herself in the different mirrors. One day there was an attractive guy near one of the mirrors she was visiting in her rounds, and she dropped a towel by him. It stayed on the ground so after awhile she picked it up a dropped it closer to him. We wish she was still there; she was great.

We have a personal trainer in my gym that wears skin tight tee shirts and tank tops every single day and he's about 5'8" and weighs about 190 soaked and wet yet he walks around like he just placed 3rd at the Arnold. Every gym has morons.

As long as they're not popping their gum, these people are great :)
