i have this theory about how after a long period where the forum is down........the time it takes for the first people to recognize its back up , and start posting.............is directly proportional to how unhealthy of a role getbig plays in their respective lives
say the forum has been back up up for 15 minutes........and you refresh and find that out.............it probably means that you have been refreshing CONSTANTLY the past couple of days, perhaps every few minutes
for example, i think i was like the second or third post after the site went back up...............so according to my theory, i REALLY need some help, possibly even forced commitment in an asylum
if you look at timeline of how people started posting after the sire went back up............you can see the people who are the most hopelessly dependant on getbig, and whose lives have probably ceased to function separate from getbig
But recognize ALL of you are in the danger zone......getbig has been back up for less then an hour........so all the people here now, are the ones who were refreshing their browser every 5 minutes to see if the site was back up yet

There is no denying this board plays a huge part of my life. I've been on it 11 fucking years. It has toughened my skin so much that I'm pretty impervious to people talking shit about me in real life. In addition I have some of the best comebacks now courtesy of getbig. I enjoy hearing the different perspectives from all the different people here allowing me to view things in different ways...Oh yeah most important, I know the truth about bodybuilding now also....

Hate to tell you Basile but I won't be up here as much anymore. Along with my new website www.muscleworldorder.com and training for my next show, I'm also building a few more sites for people as well as fixing up a couple rival sites of Getbig and RX Muscle in order for them to become more competitive and actually make them some money.
But I'll pop my head in from time to time to see the zoo monkeys run around and play...... ;D

That's like an old lady saying she's going to work a couple of hours in the little mom & pop store around the corner, to help them become "more competitive" with Walmart, no offence.
Despite the mom and pop looks of my main site, it pays the bills and the Muscle World Order site is my first commercial site built on a content management system and it brings in a heavy amount of traffic due to its multiple social network broadcaster. I had to take down the forum site due to issues with the font sizing but I have that fixed now and the built in Janrain program once set up will allow someone to log in and register with their Facebook, Twitter, or Google Account without having to deal with the fuss of clicking email links and typing etc to register which is very essential for rival websites to compete with the other big companies.
Its a new way for me to make some extra cash so I'm not complaining. I've basically taken the mom and pop design and added a little extra oomph to it and a lot of people have taken notice and want me pimp their website out.
I'm not interested in taking over Getbig or RX Muscle forums as that's way too much work, its all about the Benjamins for me and putting up a flagship site such as the Muscle World Order has already paid for itself 4 times over so far ;D

Best yet, they use a $10.00 dollar a month web hosting service to run the site similar to mine and do so by disabling the uploading of pictures and media and having them instead using BBC code to put pictures and media up thereby saving on overall server space. Since they are bringing in that amount of money, they can always get a server anytime but they just pockets the extra savings instead.
But as far as I'm concerned, I'm more than happy to fix up these sites but overall you are somewhat correct. Building a successful forum depends solely on the folks that run it and post on it.
