Title: What size screen are you using?
Post by: tarzan on September 01, 2010, 09:03:24 PM
Just got a Samsung 27" at Costco for $299 a few days ago. This screen rocks. The resolution is fine at 1920 x 1080. For a 30" screen 2560x1600 is a must though. But for gaming I hear the response on the 30" models are not fast enough. This model has a 2ms response time. I had a 24" Samsung and the jump to 27" is significant. Amazing what these things are going for considering a good 21" CRT cost about $800 in 2000.

What are you guys using?

I flick between a 22" monitor and a 120" projector, 1680 for the monitor and 720p for the projector.

My main comp has a triple monitor setup using 3 23" lg screens all at 1920 X 1080.

My laptop has a 17" inch screen at 1680 x 1050 I believe.

My other comp has two 17" monitors at 1400 x 900.

My other comp has a 19" monitor at 1280 x 1024 or something like that.

I also use a 32" lcd and 50" plasma with my main comp - not so much with the plasma due to potential burn in. I generally use the plasma for showing design comps to clients etc.

not sure which is the best one at the moment. I've got a Samsung nc20 and it's pretty good but seems to crash a bit . I know the nc10 is pretty good as well.

Apparently in Asia they already have 2160P Screens! So now a 60"-80" Computer Monitor is a reality. I don't see a 60" 1080P as a computer monitor because the resolution is simply not high enough at those sizes. And 120" projectors are still at 1080P for high end models. Fine for watching movies but everyday computing? 2160P projectors would rock!
