what do you think about kai? you had to front your hard earned money. kai's posing vs a guy just hitting standard shots and point to the crowd for 4 mins. if i was a promoter....kai would be at the top of my list. i dont get what the problem is. he is just continuing the john brown legacy of excellent posers.

I wanted him to guest pose at my show but he was busy if I remember. I saw a video of him along time ago and thought he was great. I like his show. Like you said it is way better than a fat slob posing and pointing. Everytime Coleman came to hawaii he was a fat slob that looked like a local. Kai comes in more than halfway decent shape and puts on a show. And as much as Palumbo is an ex con and crook his routine is better than 99% of the pros.

hahaha. sorry...i dont see how onlyme was willing to release the check after some bbers just walk around the stage and try to collect. i'd be public enemy #1 on the circuit if i was a promoter. people pay 25-75$ for their seats...so they deserve something along kai's level.

My first show I paid about $60,000 in guest posing fees plus airfare and per diem. Took whoever wanted to go deep sea fishing and a privatre tour of Pearl Harbor,. Every single BB got paid. Sean Ray after getting paid refused to get on stage because he said he thought he was too fat. The emcee I brought over who said he was going to do some write ups in the mags did nothing and in fact I had to fire him before the contest cause at the bikini contest when I showed up everyone said he sucked and get rid of him. So, I had to pay another guy $1000 to do the night show. It was my first show and I always take care of the athletes. When I did appearances I always got paid. Not until the 2nd show I wouldn;t put up with the shit and that is why Palumbo did not get paid.

I can understand some the criticism when it comes to his posing at shows, but he is perfect for guest posings. He shows up in decent shape and entertains the crowd.

What I had was a massive posedown at the end of the show so the competitiors could be on stage with some name bodybuilders (and some not so name BB). Most the guys in Hawaii rarely get to leave the island and I thought it would be fun and memorable. Quincy, Flex Wheeler, Sean, Bennet, Downing, Nasser and a few others all on stage at one time with all the competitors. It was nice. Now that I remember Sean went up but did not take his shirt off. I have photos somewhere.. Plus it was after the show he ran out on a hotel bill at the Kahala Mandarin where it cost my friend who got him a deal cause he was a manager there $600. So he is a piece of shit.

i don't care what kai does for money 'in private' but i find his performances on stage unbecoming of a role model, and representative of our sport.

To tell you the truth I really didn't think about it. I had an expo where everyone appeared. He did some stuff. I remember when I decided to bring him (Sean) everyone was telling me not to cause I guess he pulled some shit before. But, he was name and he never did anything to me before so I brought him. After what he did some people told me they told me so. Oh well. The only thing that gets me is how many people think he is a saint. I told everyone how the Colorado Pro was going to end up and it did. He fucked people there too. Whatever, the one thing I do is "move on". I would be a huge wreck if I thought about everyone who has ripped me off or owes me money. That is what so funny about Palumbo still talking about the $300 he thinks I owe him. I mean I don't owe him shit yet he still brings it up on his radio show and it is ONLY $300. That poor ex con needs to move on. Anyway, the past is the past. I can't dwell on it. What pisses me off the most out of all those guys I paid was the emcee. I paid him $5000 on the fact he told me he would write some articles on the show and put them in some magazines. I wanted that so the next year I could show the sponsors the publicity I get at my show. Well he didn't do any of that plus he sucked so bad at emceeing I was forced to get rid of him and pay someone else last minute (who did a great job). This guy I originally hired was making fun of the Hawaiian names and just got everything wrong. It was pissing off everyone. Oh well you live and learn.

To be fair, the majority of today's top bodybuilders are nothing more than full-time ambulatory pharmacies/part-time homosexual prostitutes. With their huge guts they give new meaning to the word "waistline", i.e., the proper spelling for these faux bodybuilders is now "wasteline".
The exemplary posing skills of Kai and others of this ilk belong in a Las Vegas review meant exclusively for schmoes: "Cirque du So Ghey". Yogurt has more culture than Kai.
When all is said and done and Kai is used up by the schmoes of his little world and the perverse panoply that was his bodybuilding "career" and medicine cabinet come to an end Kai will shrink in physical size, strength and fan base. He is no better a bodybuilder than any who come here. To be honest, he is not even a bodybuilder, he is a drug addict.

Actually, my level of disgust is most likely much lower than some here. What I will tolerate or not tolerate, that which I call good or bad is based upon standards. Standards are never to be lowered for then they are no longer "standards". You cannot "raise the bar" and lower your standards and be true to that which is right.
Kai is disgusting, in both actions and faux physique. Get used to the truth. Anyone here can deny it, but that does not make it any less so.

Bodybulding was about creating a powerfull wall of muscle against an uncertain and scary world. Many of us were insecure and the bodybuilders we saw looked like superheroes writ large. :o

Other bodybuilders could learn from Kai. Yes, he includes some headstands and so on but overall he shows his muscles well and moves them a lot so that you look exactly where he wants you to look. I have seen him in Melbourne in a lineup and he gets a lot of attention. Clever guy re how to pose for judges. He was very popular in Melbourne. He could win the Olympia this year. His improvement in 18 months is nothing short of amazing.
