What should you do if you have an appointment for a blood test?
i want to have a checkup....liver values, hdl etc...basic stuff.
should i stop training 3 days prior? what about nutrition the days leading to the test?

Dont train for like 4 days prior or your creatinine kinase levels will much much higher because or muscle damage

Also intramuscular injections can raise creatinine kinase levels...yes liver enzymes can be effected after vigorous training

Eat how you normally would and drink a lot of water...dont eat 12 hours before the test though.

Explain for me why one would change anything when preparing for a blood test? Wouldn't one want to know what the results showed in reference to their normal state of being. For example, if one works out and that affects the blood test results, why would you stop working out for the test. It would seem this would render the results inaccurate. These tests are for you to know what the state of your health is, fooling the test and the doctor reading it makes no sense to me.

But if he is working out constantly and following the same regime how is it giving false readings as this is what will be going on in his body on a constant basis ? A doctor should be told of this and Mez's lifestyle and he will take it into consideration..By stopping what he is doing to alter blood readings is giving a false reading is it not ? Not disagreeing with you just giving an alternative view

Im talking about creatinine kinase levels..just by taking an intramuscular shot will raise your values a shitload...i know because ive done itbefore blood work...doctors always told me to not workout a couple days before my blood test...ill go by what my doc says over anyone on here

Creatinine kinase levels will be raised on someone with larger muscles full stop , stopping working out just to give a false reading on this reading is not smart medicine.
A smart Doctor will look at the lifestyle we lead eg Bodybuilding which will include our diets , larger muscles ,supplements eg creatine etc etc plus drug use if any and make his decision on this..Withdrawing certain things we do in our everyday lifes just to give a false reading when the majority of the time we do the things suggested be stopped is silly and not giving a good overall picture of whats going on inside you.

tst might be right about the creatine kinase levels. i dont see why hed lie about it. but meso probably is more concerned about getting an accurate look at his test, estro, lh, t3, hdl/ldl levels than anything else.

If those levels are extremely high without working out or takin a previous injection you can have a serious problem..ive been tested the day after takin a shot and working out and my values were 750 points...the next test i took my doc told me not to workout or take an injection four days prior to the test so he could see my true values,this time they were only at 200...if those values are extremely high without puttin stress of injections or working out it can be a serious problem...

I always just did life as usual whenever i was having tests done on me. I think it puts a different twist on the results when the numbers show the condition of your body "now" versus changing your routine and diet to get better "temporary" numbers.

I dont think you guys are understanding my point...its ok if those values are high if your taking injections and ripping your muscle up from workouts...but if your shit is astronomical without doing all of that you could have a type of damage to your heart or brain..
