Tee'd off at 7:20 barely awake and shot a 48 on the front and broke a club for my troubles, got an awesome bloody mary at the turn and shot a 37 on the back!

Chick, you are a single digit handicap?

I had a long practice session today.  Spent a lot of time working on my chipping and bunker play.

Front 9 I couldn't drive, second shots were wayyy off, a water ball and couldn't put worth a shit. Worst round all week and I played 3 times, you'd think I would get better after 3 full rounds.

I hover between an 8.5 -10

Depends on the time of year...I've been on the road the last 7 weekends in a row...off season I'm much better

Coach, a true 8.5 index puts you in the top 2% (at least) of all golfers.
That is nothing to be ashamed of.
How long have you been playing?
I play to about an 11 (probably under that right now, but haven't been playing rounds due to birth of my child).
I've been playing and practicing for about 3 years now.

I've been playing on and a lot off for about 14 years but after I competed 3 years ago I decided to make golf my main hobby. I try to put a lot of time in, I practice on my lunch times (I get about 2hr break out of an 12-14hr day, take most Fridays off to play as well as Sundays. When I get in a funk, I have an instructor that does a video of my swing to help fix what ever is wrong. But for the last 3 years I've been a regular "golfer".

SS, just re-read your post. My son golfs with my every week, IMO, that's the best part of the game. He's 13 now and has been playing since he was 5, he plays to an 11 according to SCGA, he's also in the Jr. Program at our home course. Nothing like golfing with your kid!!

Jeez guys next time I get a free set of Taylor Made I'll tell you.  Sold the last set with bag for just $1500.  Had Orlimar too.  They were cheap for $500 with bag.
