I used to train with Tony and then we would all go to lunch. Tony had the most unreal back then. He just announced he will be competing in the Mr Pro World I think in 2011. He lives here in Vegas and I saw and talked to him about 7 months ago. Still looks awesome

After all the years he's trained, Pearson could look like that on a replacement dose of test. He doesn't have the look of someone on a heavy cycle.

Or his calf implants....

They stay on gear so that they can stay healthy, robust and strong. To improve the quality of your life. Just like a young guy wants to be lean and muscular, believe it or not, so does an older guy as well. Steroids, HGH, use responsibly is good for you.
Everything in life is a matter of degrees. Anything can be abused. Tony looks great and healthy. Of course, naysayers will say his liver and kidneys are fried and will be dead by 50 60. I don't think so. I bet he's healthier than most people his age or any age for that matter. Most people his age are fat, can barely walk up a flight of stairs, and are on some type of life long medication.

T one time he was engaged to Madonna Grimes---uh-uh, damn!

Preach on my brother!! :)

I saw him guest pose at the 1979 King's Classic, in Charlotte, NC. Yes, I said 1979. Cool cat. Good dude.

how do you know he isnt on any meds for his health also?...also, long bow to say that most people his age are fat or can barely walk a flight of stairs...there are plenty of healthy 50 somethings out there..
the real issue here is that for someone to continue to BB, there must be some psychological issue as its totally impractical, unnecessary and time consuming. arguably all BBs who aspire to this level of development have some form of ego or narcissistic mental condition in the first place. Does that mean that they're still considered in the "healthy" group?
lets have a balanced debate shall we?

Balanced debate? sure.
National stats back up the notion that MOST people in the 50-60 category are not healthy and are statisticaly overweight, if not obese...
Claiming that someone who has devoted their life to bodybuilding (competitive, now for maintainience) has phychological issues is retarded, especially since you know absolutely NOTHING of the person (or PEARSON in this case ;D) Maybe he just enjoys training...maybe he's a complete idiot still living in the past...
The other nonsense you wrote is just that....nonsense.
Whether or not he's "healthy" isnt debatable unless you know him personally...he might be as healthy as a horse, or on his last leg
-
Maybe "disco stu" hates bodybuilding. ::)

What WAS and what IS his height and weight?
-

Exactly. Its nice to see a basic 70-80s physique again. No slin, no GH, no oil, just a basic test/winny cycle.......clean and classic.
-
what percentage of retired ifbb pros stay "healthy" after they retire (healthy used pretty loosely, meaning low in bodyfat, strong, etc) compared to say an average mlb, nfl or nba player?
-
Tony "lean machine"Pearson,53 years young.
Now that is impressive!! :o :o

Friend, 2 out of 3 American are fat. The ratio grows exponentially as the age increases. True he may be on heart meds or blood pressure meds, or anxiety meds like the majority of people nowadays over 40. But I find it doubtful. You don't do the type of physical exertion he does, and has do for decades, and be unhealthy.
You ever think that sometimes people participate in an activity simply because they love it? I know someone that's sixty years old and still likes to roll on the mat and get in the ring to mix it up. Is it because he's compensating for something lacking in his ego? Would he be mentally healthier if he just stop and vegged on the couch or maybe you can suggest something that you consider and better way to spend one's time. And when you consider the amount of time the average American spends in front of the TV it is not impractical and time consuming because, just like my friend, I watch virtually no TV.
And unnecessary? Brother, there are very few things in life that are absolutely necessary. What do you do outside of work and is it "necessary"?
What age do you plan to give up training, or do you even train, and let yourself become a slob?
-

Do you think he had calves implants/and/or silicone injections when he placed 12th in the 1984 Mr. Olympia?

His calves now have the same shape, high insertion points, just that they are smaller...Even his large torso is smaller now...

True to some degree, but in modern bbing it's obviously abused.

You're a freakin' idiot. I competed for 15 years jackass and know a shitload more about anabolics that you probably do. I also know what a body looks like that's heavily juiced and Pearson doesn't have that look. I have a feeling that both you and Sev have terrible genetics and a terrible response to drugs. I know plenty of ex competitors that can maintain great physiques on tiny amounts of juice because 1. They were smart enough not to have never abused them and totally shut down their own test levels and 2. They have trained and dieted consistently for 15-20 years.
