He came on the scene, worked with Milos, blew everybody away with is conditioning. Stopped working with Milos, got good placings, then disappeared. He would posed in a odd way, but I think he could make some damage, if not in the 202s...what happened to the Nigerian-Brazilian-Spainard?

heart problems
he was on MD Radio last week though I haven't listened to the episode (nor will I)

Who knows how bad it is, could be an enlarged heart, or hypertension. I know that the doctors told me to stop bbing due to having hypertension, slight enlarged heart and one barely working kidney, too much stress.
Kris Dim was and is stupid to make a comeback after having a "zipper".
Bodybuilding isn't everything, and if these guys weren't so one dimensional, they shouldn't let it define them. Go to school, become a naturalist, martial artist, woodsmith, carpenter, grow gardens, etc.

I heard a health scare of sorts

True, too unhealthy, don't care what others say or try to defend bbing.
Guess different strokes for different folks, but it's too grueling to the body, I've done it, and I can't figure how anyone does it for over decades... competiting that is.

fear of needles perhaps.

Chris Dim proves that unless you are dead then the warrior urge to battle on stage in a pink sparkly thong is just too strong to overcome...sometimes you just have listen to your inner animal and fight with all that you have to come in 10th place in a 5K show and prove to the world that you have got what it takes.
in short, Silvio will be back
-
Shawn Ray and Bob chick were promoting this dude up and down. And when it comes to Shawn, some say it may have been literally ::)
-
Silvio is doing well, as he was working the bodybuilding.com booth this past Monday and having a good time - he will be back next year, but letting his body take a rest.
-

I agree ..I believe it has to do with tolerance to large doses
I had a hard time whith what I took for months at an end let alone large doses for years ...I cannot see myself doing that

no he is NOT.........he obviously had some severe health and/or life problems that made it impossible to compete this year
and he he is, half the size of what a pro bodybuilder.........even one taking some time off should be
he is right in the prime of his career, the last two years he did great.........no one in the right mind would decide to just take time off right not
but theres ron to tow the line, with the rose-colored glasses..........."oh, hes doing great" ::) ::)

because he smiles and does a "thumbs up" pose "hes doing fine". lol

You can't continue to compete in 8 shows a year - you need to take time off between contests, and evaluate your options, strategically. If health issues and Silvio decide he doesnt want to comepte anymore, so be it. If he does, after he takes time off from competing - that is his choice.
In any event, it was nice to talk and go over some things on Monday. Simple as that.
