Both are legacies from ivy league Universities.

Kinda throws cold water on the assertion that Obama is some super genius who got into Harvard strictly based on his intelligence.  

And FYI, for all of the MSM ramblings about family associations and family problems visa vi Jan Brewer, Sarah Palin and the like-- I dont think anyone tops Barak Hussein Obama Sr.

I'm sure legacy had a lot to do with it, but he also went to Punahou for high school, which is one of the better high schools in the country.  A lot of heavyweights from that school.  A lot of their graduates go to Ivy League schools.  Gave him a huge advantage over the typical public school kid.
