Here's my story - a true one. I was competing at that time in the 82.5 kg class (weightlifting) and was at a training weight of around 85kg. I got down to 82.5 for my weighing quite easily (just ate a little less the last few days, and lost a bit of water in the sauna before weighing, had a good shit, etc).
I weighed in at 82.45 kg, and after competing I went to a BBQ, and consumed between 6pm and midnight approximately 8 sausages and bread, 3 bowls of potato salad, 2 pieces of steak, a salad, 2 bowls of a kind of rice salad. I also drank approx 5 pitchers of beer. Then, at around 4 in the morning, a guy who works in a bakery turns up at the house with over extra 100 jam doughnuts. They were still warm, and delicious. I ate approximately 16-20 of them between then, and the morning. After a sleep, I drank 2 glasses of milk in the morning. Then had a brunch - coffee, bacon and eggs etc. Also a few glasses of water. In the afternoon I had a burger, and I then went back to the gym for a light workout, and weighed in at 87.9kg. Which was fine with me as I was moving up to a higher weight class anyhow :)

I see a weight increase of nearly 3 kilos gib...you have to remember you where already 85 to begin with and only manipulated your weight to make a weight class...i bet when you got of the scale at the competition meet and ate a good meal before you had to fight you already were almost 84 at that same day say maybe an hour later...

Yeah - you are right, but still a pretty amazing increase don't you think? I wonder how much a top bodybuilder's weight goes up in 24 hours after a contest? Probably even more huh?

A top bodybuilder keeps gaining weight after the 24 hours you just mentioned...infact they keep gaining at least for a whole week or more easily...your weight gain was alright if it was all muscle... ;)

Nasser claims he gained 24lbs within 24 hours after a competition.

1 pound an hour? For 24 hours? I find that hard to believe, but its probably possible.

If it did happen, I'm sure it was alot of water weight.

I once gained 6 kg in a week (=7 days). That was time when i first time went 'hardcore' back in days...
That was amazing - I almost couldn't believe it when I weighed myself at the end of the week. Don't know where it came as I didn't eat those huge amounts of food
Oh, I miss those days ;D

Alot more, some 30 pounds in 1-2 days... ofc mostly water after using diurectics etc. still insane and not very smart

I've gained about 15 lbs from weigh-in to the next morning after drinking water and eating again. It's pretty typical I think. The most weight I gained was 35 lbs in 6 days following a competition diet. I added anadrol and ate everything in site.

That's why some of these guys actually look better a day after the contest!

Yea, my knees and ankles looked warped from all the water, but my upper body still looked ripped (obviously smoother than contest) and veiny but huge.

Yea, I miss the partying. The biggest part I miss is the next morning after waking up and doing a couple caps of G and going for drives in my old CTS with house and trance beats pumpin. That was heaven

Fighters dehydrate too, and gain up to 20lb after weigh-in. Ernie Taylor reckons he gains 50lb in a couple of days after a show, which I think is plausible given 20lb of rehydration + 3 days of solid over-eating and muscle glycogen replenishment etc. Who was it on here the other day saying they ate a 6lb burrito? I mean Adam Richmond must gain 4-5kg every day then shit half of it out the next day.
