I was looking at an old file of funny stuff today and saw an entry where someone said even a pro football player probably can't do pushups for more than 1 or 2 minutes, or run at top speed for more than 2 minutes.

So if you can workout for 2 minutes doing pushups you can do more that a pro.  Could someone make gains attempting daily or every other day etc to do pushups for 2 min and run at top speed for 2 minutes?

This for some reason got me thinking about HIT and I found this link on Elligon Darden's site after looking up Arthur Jones on [url][http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?topic=112943.0/url]

If you are telling the body hey I am trying to max effort on pushups and on a run each day, would the body not adjust?  Would you end up fast and strong as hell?
