I think it depends on the person..It absolutely can be done. How long did this take you? Good luck with it, definately isn't easy

Bruce Randall , old time BB'er, was a bit over 400lbs. Dropped to the 180's. Gained back to 220, or so, and won the Mr Universes title back in early to mid 1950's I believe. No loose skin, small waist and had one of the greatest vacuum poses in BB'ing, past or present.. Don't know how he trained or dieted but was supposed to be super strong in squats and back lifts. Use to go around to high schools and give talks on health, training, etc. Probably in his early 80's by now.
Natural gainers (outstanding genetics for controlling gains or losing muscle mass) seem to have the ability to pretty much weight what they want. Their metabolism is geared to do that. Good Luck to everyone else.

Went from 395lbs down to as low as 220lbs (not ripped but muscles visible) without drugs or surgery. Almost all diet with a little cardio here and there.
Didn't do it all at once. Went down in about 15-70lbs increments over years.

::) He asked for people that did it naturally. Epic natural delts, 19" arms, 235lbs w/ abs and delt/trap tie-ins. Also, nice supply of bedside supplements to avoid 2am catabolism.

Irish spring Speed Stick and Aveeno body lotion. Breakfast of champions.

Strong words from a grown man with a pet gerbil. I'd say borderline but hard to tell from 1 crappy pic.
