Title: Will there ever be an olympia that isn't below average height.
Post by: Lundgren on September 26, 2010, 09:21:41 AM
Seriously. Cutler is 5 8 looks like a fridge. The only ones that look half descent were dexter hide, and heath. So I have to ask will there ever be a 6 foot Olympia.(Arnold was 5 11.5 tops.)

Nah only when every single thread going is about midget a should of beat midget b. Were all obessed with men in thongs. It's a joke everyone else can see only you guys seem not to get it. I wouldn't mind if it was all about taper v's and semetry. I was rooting for heath. But the fact Gutler one because he's bigger is total bullshit.

you have to face it man: bb is like this.

Being a tall guy I think the best build men are over 6', but reality is reality.

Why does this have to be about how tall I am. I have shit genetics for the sport. I wouldn't want someone like me on stage.

There's a problem with the sport. When the Olympia lacks, a taper v, semetry and height. He lacks three of the qualities that most people on the street will say belongs on the ideal physique. The sport is fucked, yet you try to make people feel guilty for having no interest in the olympia.

I have seen a recentish video online where Arnold is asked his height. He said he has dropped another quarter inch to 6'1" exactly and that his daughter laughed at him because they are growing and he is shrinking. something along those lines.
He said they have a notch on the closet where the family measured themselves

No the judging criteria doesn't suit guys of that height, its basically a freak show for short guys. Mot magazines will inflate the height of guys to make the sport appear more appealing but I have stood next to both Ronnie and Dorian both taller champs and they are both 5 feet 9 tops.

If your tall retire, just dont compete Toney freeman looked superb at the olympia but the strengths of his physique are no longer recognised, sad but just think of bodybuilding as horse racing in a way, where the only humans involved are as of the same height as the jockeys who ride the beasts and in this instance instead of the horse being juiced up the human short arse jockey is. lol not hating but its frustrating watching all these short guys, just remember Pro bodybuilding doesn't pay the bills, and the sport was at its most popular when taller guys and their strengths were recognised, but that is all lost on the people who run the sport and sadly the prize money reflects the failed business plan.

And yes i am 6 foot tall lol.

That's the sport. Even half the form agree's it's just we get shot down with"why are you a BBing site if you hate the O".
When everyone knows in the first 5 minute of Pumping Iron, we were all hooked with the line "Arnold Schwarzenegger, 6'2" 240 pounds". You think if they said 5'8" 180 pounds people would have had the same interest.

good post but heath is a legit "basketball" 5'9" and ronnie is taller than him, also yates, flex and say cormier.  based on the O...jay is more 5'7" when he is next to phil shoulder square.  they keep saying wolfe is 5'11". no way.  look at him next to X-man.  he's more 6'

Arnold was 6'2 I believe

The true height of Arnold will be forever shrouded in mystery, same with Stallone. Yes, many have claimed to arrive at the correct figures, even websites have been dedicated to the pursuit, but it will always remain controversial. The legend about Big Foot have better odds of resolving. Many people have been beaten and enslaved in their vain attempts to know more.

Regardless he was tall in his time, now struggles to be 6 foot. Point is he was impressive to everyone. The top five this year were way to short to look impressive in the street. You couldn't even see there face in a crowd.

If you were asked by a producer to put out a casting call for big men. Most of the final six would get laughed at for being way to short. No one can argue some guy 5 6 would get put in a movie as a big man, or anything close. Granted they prefer twinks either way.

Bluto is pretty active at the moment with several gimmicks that sadly all follow the "bluto-pattern" of movie stars and closet homosexuality.

tallgerman, Lungrensisgod are two of them.

stallone is extremely short......like 5'5 1/2 short............has been wearing shoes lifts his entire career to bring him up to around 5'8-5'9

arnold is  a solid 5'11 or so (at least he was, he got shorter since he got older)

5' 8" or 5' 9" is average height, not 6'.

5 10.5 for white male. Also you'd assume that the olympia would be slightly above average.
