Title: 1 Month Weight Loss
Post by: disturbia on September 26, 2010, 12:32:31 PM
Our subject here has been dieting and training strenuously using his methods over the last month (no sarcasm intended, Im serious)

here are one month apart pics, Im not saying which is before and which is after. Without knowing beforehand or cheating, can you tell which is which?

Im not ridiculing the guy here, cause he is sticking to his plan. I just think maybe there might be a need to reevaluate if this is all there is after a month. Im no champ, no doubt about that, but Im missing something here

also: why not go to a real gym
I have BRUTAL social anxiety and no social skills and obviously am overweight, but I still go to a gym 5 days a week because the equipment is far superior to working out at home

I agree, I think alot stems from his diet big time.  He says he's happy, if I had those results, I'd be suicidal for sure

ya Im not putting him down either, and although we have exchanged "non pleasantries", as a fellow over weight person I actually quietly cheer for him to drop the weight and show us all he can and shut some people up on here

something needs to change though in my opinion

Title: Re: 1 Month Weight Loss
Post by: disturbia on September 26, 2010, 01:33:10 PM
I've been thinking about cardio and have decided that my hiit sessions is too easy on my exercise bike. i have done hiit in the past on elliptical machines and every session was feared, i would almost colapse off the machines at the end of the high intensity phase, gasping for air and fearing a heart attack. It is not this way on the bike. Yes i work up a sweat but, i feel i am way under where my heart rate zone should be. So i am going to try steady state cardio instead.

Studies show the maximum fat burning zone is 63% VO2 max or 115-120 bpm.

My bike has pulse monitors so i know when I'm at this rate.

As my calories are the same at 2000 cals per day, this change in cardio should either show a positive or negative difference in my weight loss per week.

the panda experiment continues  :D

Those are non-progress photos......we can all take pictures of ourself from one month to the next that look exactly the same.

this delusional dope is fully engaged in his dieting "theories" and NOTHING has happened.

If i were to seriously diet for a month there would be a significant body change....this asshole doesn't know what the fuck he is doing, he's got his head too far up his ass with his "studies"

Fuck sake fat panda. I can shit weight of quicker than that.  Eat 4 eggs for breakfast. Steak and eggs with broccoli for lunch and fish with broccoli for evening meal.1 hour cardio a day.and drink nothing except water. Weigh after 10 days and tell me I'm wrong.  You get peckish...eat more eggs.

The pics in which he's wearing the striped PJs(?) are obviously the newer ones, cause the other set is the one he posted before. As far as the fat loss itself is concerned, he hasn't lost anything visibly.

But he's doing this naturally and it takes time. Haven't checked his log and not sure if he's doing cardio or not, but what he's doing in the gym, what he's eating and what kind of cardio he's doing (if any at all) will all make a difference.

I wouldn't really take advice from FP (or anyone else for that matter) about dieting or lifting, but I always love having nerdy discussions about characters from DC and Marvel with him. FP, keep at it and hope you do get to where you want to be, physique-wise. Good luck.

Post by: Tapeworm on September 27, 2010, 02:57:30 AM
Unless it's water weight, 8 lbs in a month is too fast for a natural, you heroes.  That's a 1000 calorie/day deficit.  Fat goes on slow, fat comes off slow.

Also, if you start dieting at 15% you'll see a difference in a month.  FP isn't going to see a big difference after a month.  He's obviously just pissed everyone off because you guys must realize this.

Stay the course, FP.

meal 1 - milk + protein powder = 210cals, 31p, 9c, 5f

snack - 2x coffee's + chunky kitkat = 357cals, 9p, 41c, 18f

meal 2 - pre workout - milk + protein powder + 10g creatine = 210cals, 31p, 9c, 5f

8x45kg - db deadlift
8x45kg - db shrug
7x45kg - flat db press
8x45kg - one arm db row
7x45kg - incline db press

steady state cardio - 30 mins @ 63% VO2 max/ 115-120 bpm, which is where peak fat oxidation occurs according to studies.

meal 3 - post workout - milk + protein powder + 10g creatine = 210cals, 31p, 9c, 5f

snack = wine gums = 395cals, 7p, 91c, 0f

meal 4 = spicy linguine bolognese = 426cals, 41p, 50c, 11f

daily totals = 2035cals, 154p, 223c, 56f
ratios = 30/42/25

I had a tremendous workout today, the cramp feeling/weakness in my right arm has gone  :) and apart from the usual shoulder/pec pain i felt great and strong.  My form on the flat press still needs improving, but as I've only just started doing the movement i feel it is natural to take a little time to get it perfect. The steady cardio was enjoyable too, i did it while watching David Henry's leg workout from his beyond motivated DVD  8)

i have actually changed the protein powder i have been drinking since Friday from whey 90+ which is 66% whey 33% casein to milk protein concentrate which is 80% casein 20% whey. its not as tasty as the whey one, but its OK. i have 5kg of the stuff to use before i buy more. casein has been shown in studies to be more effective than whey in caloric deficit, and it has been theorised by the likes of Alan Argon and Lyle McDonald that a blend of the two would be better than either one on their own. We'll see how it goes, but as i said i had a great workout today  :) long may it continue.  8)

bring on Feb  8)

i won't stop till i'm under 10%, maybe even 5% depending how its going.

the fact is the 7.5lbs i've lost so far since this first month since i started that doomed comp with josh isn't great, but 7.5lbs a month for 5 months is 37.5lbs. i also started this diet at 280+ so i've already been losing weight for a while before i started the comp at 250ish.

Also now that i've changed my cardio to longer steady state i think i will start to see much quicker fat loss results too.

the great thing about what i'm doing is its the easiest diet in the world, i actually enjoy eating the foods i do, i enjoy the cardio, there is no suffering, no cravings just happy times and good tasty food ;D

while josh on the other hand, sits melting down in his apartment, eating sawdust, making youtube videos of me and threads attacking me, while getting more and more depressed by his bland boring diet  ::)

hell the guy is on my log more than he's own his own. clearly dieting isn't good for his mental state.

but its ok, when feb comes and the see's the results i've had, i'm sure he will become good friends with the chunky kitkats too  ;D

You have a large vocabulary. I say without embarrassment that years ago you taught me the word nugatory and it is one of my favourite words to this day. I have you to thank for this.

open the photo in photoshop, open a kitkat photo in photshop, sample the red color from the kitkat, mark his body with the magnetic lasso tool, press ctrl+ c then ctrl+ v , so there is a new layer so you dont mess up the rest of the image, lower the opacity to a decent level and paint him until it looks good, mark the kitkat logo in the other phot, press ctrl c, bring up the other image, press ctrl v, edit the kitkat logo into liking, press ctrl + t and adjust size/placement, if it doen't look slightly natural then change the levels a bit, if it still doesnt look good smudge the edges of the logo a bit.

and there you have it!

Vaguely racist sounding post reported.

Because it's in public. Duh.     ;)

That's my thinking.  Sometimes I have to interact with as many as 10 people in the course of a day, and ya know... the more I love my dog.

Pandas diet and "training" program are simply atrocious for fat loss or building muscle.  :(

Plan on being skinnyfat for life Panda.
