Havnt had a car since march 5th this year. Only rid motorcycles. If I had a car I'd be making payments on something I'd never use.

I'll pay cash for something once the snow hits and sell it early in the spring. Probably an xterra or a wrangler.

The current 7 series is a slick beast, the old one is not, and looks like a clown face. I'd say, wait until the 6 Series Gran Coupe comes out, it's a beautiful car, BMW's take on the CLS. And Merc just unveiled the 2nd gen CLS.

I'm currently going through a love phase with the Wisemann GT. The car is unique and looks crazy good. I had a good offer for 125k$ as the seller is having a hard time selling it  :-\ the downside is that we have no maintenance and the car isn't exactly fast.

I don't want a fast car. I can't really control myself with those and now in France, if you get caught speeding, you actually have a good chance of spending a little time in jail.

I don't really remember, the guy gave me the stats and I wasn't impressed, that's all I remember. The car was tiny from the inside too, sounded gorgeous though.

Is it the same engines as the old V10 M5 and the new turbo-charged V8?

MB set the benchmark with the CLS, and it seems everyone is just biting at their style. even volkswagen ffs.

I own three of these. You can pick em' up at auctions for next to nothing... not 'this' particular one (Z06)- but any base model C5 has never retained any value.

The Audi is a nice car for sure.

agreed- but their lease rates on the Q5 are ridiculous - they did the same thing then the A5 came out- 8%+ because it was in demand. now that demand has died down you can get the same car for a more sane 3%. the lease rate was the entire reason for me not getting the A5 over the car i have now. i refused to allow audi to gouge me like that.

i just hate the fact they try to gouge you in the interest rate because the car has a lot of initial appeal. it really left a sour taste in my mouth about an automobile maker who makes fine cars like they do. i'm a younger guy and will prolly buy several more cars over the next 30 years (maybe 10 or more) and because of that one experience i dunno if i will give audi the nod again.

but you're right- it's a great little car.

Leasing a car is bullshit, it's even better to finance it some way, but you will always lose money in leasing.

I love Audi, and will stay with it for a while. Reliable, good cars, fun to drive.

I agree with you about leasing- I lease primarily because I find it simple. It is more costly but that extra cost to more is worth the convenience of having a new car every 3 years, not getting stuck with a lemon, if I smash it up the money I lose on the resale won't come out of my pocket etc.

I pay for the convenience I guess. :)

I pay for the convenience I guess. :)

Well, if you can afford it and don't care, i guess it's not a problem, lol!

Since i moved to Tokyo, i don't have a car at all. One doesn't need a car in this city, and if i need one, i rent one.  ;D

Leasing a car is bullshit, it's even better to finance it some way, but you will always lose money in leasing.

I love Audi, and will stay with it for a while. Reliable, good cars, fun to drive.
Audi tend to want a arm and a leg, compared to their BMW and Mercedes counterparts, yet offer no real performance or features above then. For instance, this past Summer, I went to look at a S5, damn car was 62k, and it had a nice interior (what Audi is known for), but I believe the 335i and 335iS are cheaper...and the salesman was a arrogant prick.

I'd think that they (Audi) shouldn't be trying to gouge people, because they offer less than their competition, and their base models are FWD (a Audi hallmark since they were part of Auto Union), and the S and RS models cost more than their respective competitors, but again offer less performance, and are heavier...WTF.

Cadillac is looking good to me now, and again, I have fallen in love with a Aqua Blue Metallic Porsche Carrera S, with Turbo wheels...unfortunately, she's out of my league. But, all I need is one date, just one date and I can convince her otherwise.

i was looking at the new CTS coupe.  Intro model is about 40k, CTS-V 62k.  it's much more attractive than the 4-door plus Cady is on a roll as far as maintenance and reliability.

i have no clue what to say about flex wheeler.  now...he is training stan effering(sp).  hope he is getting paid for that since stan got about 20M in his pocket.

Unless Lexus comes out with a IS coupe, I probably won't go back to Lexus. Maybe the upcoming GS-F (next gen), or a IS-F. I have a IS300, dealer wanted $7,600 to replace the head (head had blown), I went and put another engine in for half that. But, the service is excellent.

yep, and hopefully, Flex can build a  base, and train others---HELL, he was trained by Charles glass since 1993, so he should have garned many of those "secrets" that were past down to him.

A used Jaguar would be cool, but they are only good for driving to the next mechanic.
I once drove an old japanese car(Mitsu) and it was an awesome thing... cheap and nothing could kill it.
Car of choice would be a Ford Gt50 or an old Mustang.

My favorite car of all time I have owned was my CJ7.  I had so much fun in that thing. It was great.  Got stolen right from my driveway while my girlfriend was in the house and I was putting gas in her car.  Pissed me off bigtime.  I am limited ot what I drive now.  I finally decided to get an white Escalade.  Will pick it up middle of Nov.  It is my christmas present to myself.  My Cherokee was nice in Hawaii.,  Kept diving gear in the back so when I wanted I would pull over and dive a little.  Carried the kayak around too just in case.

Good for him and his son.

Originally, they had problems with the prototype R8 V10 burning to the ground. Of course you know that midengine cars suffer from lack of cooling and overheating (Fiero), and the curvy bodywork of the R8 and 458 doesn't help.

WTF! Might I'd advise getting the BMW Gran Coupe, BMW's answer to the CLS, it's sinister and sexy all at the same time. Or the Panamera, it may look like a humpbacked lozenge, but it goes just as fast on the road, like a lozenge down one's throat...
And there will be a coupe version, go against the Ferrari 599 and it's replacement. Porsche hasn't confirmed this, but there is a drawing on it's R&D consulting webpage.

I have an '04 Dodge Ram Hemi Quad Cab with a 6 inch lift.  Also have an '01 Cavalier that I've had for over 6 years...fucker just won't die, never found a reason to get rid of it.

Just got rid of my '01 Trans Am...forged stock cubes, heads/cam/intake, 150 wet shot + 150 dry shot, couldn't get the bastard outta the deep 10s in the 1/4.

I'm trying to choose between a used R/T Challenger, SS Camaro, or a brand new 2010 Mustang GT.  I love the looks of the Challenger, but pisses me off the car is made in Canada and the Hemi motor is built in Mexico.  Camaro suffers from the same thing, plus it looks like a 12 year old designed it(although the motor is by far the supreme of the three).  The Mustang has great pricing, can get a brand new one for $10k less than a used SS or R/T, BUT......EVERYONE has one, and I've never been much of a fan of the 4.6, or even the 5.0.

If I had the money, I'd want a newer M3 or S4..but the Euro sports cars are stupidly overpriced(as long as the idiots keep buyin' 'em at that price)

We've got an '06 ML350 - one of the most enjoyable cars I've ever driven!  Really doesn't drive like an SUV, feel soooo smooth and AMaaaaaaaaaazing turn radius!

My pops has 'p6 ml350. I love it.

She's a systems administrator and quite competent, the things that kept failing on the 350 were out of her control..mostly electronic system, power windows, windshield wipers, lights, etc. with some minor engine problems
she's had the lexus almost 2 years, not one problem.

Wait for the 2012 GT's. Since they changed so much up for the 2011 with the new motor there is bound to be some shit wrong with the first years. 2012 should have the little kinks worked out.
fords been using that same engine for over 10 years now.....just not in production vehicles.....it will be fine..

Well, since the Enzo was only sold for one yr, (2003-2004), and every one (only 399 built) that is crashed makes the rest far, far more valuable, anybody who said that, must have developed two  wormholes to transport one from 2003, to 2008, and kept it for 2 yrs. Or a time machine back in 2004, and had one transported to 2008.

Prius totally sucks, Toyota managed to kill all fun with this car.

If you want an electric car, try the Tesla Roadster.

Its a step up from his Lincoln LS, and have you seen Jay's cars? He is blinged the hell out.
I say Phil should treat himself...and a Astob Martin DBS Volante is a sick gift for "The Gift".

i think these guys are mostly leasing.  shawn kept the CLS but all others including the Lambo were lease deals with J Motors.  Phil's primary ride is the Escalade.

Ronnie kept the Hummer and Escalade but he won them.  The other cars he had are cheap as hell in TX...based on his income.

Jay buys outright every 2-3 yrs with trade-ins.

The lil white boys are here haven't got their fix on the Jew and Arabs threads.

I love it when wannabe famous people have some free time, they take a cheap camera along, go to the next luxury car dealer, sit in some cars, have themselves photographed and then go home again.

Makes you look so important and rich.  ::) ::)

come on...onlyme.  you've been around longer than most of these clown.  lease or not...you're looking at 1600$ on a 80K vehicle.  phil picked up 175k between the A and the O and will probably pocket 30K for his month, Oct, in Australia alone plus a solid six figue number for scamtech.  shit...i get mega pts from putting tuition on my Amex plus a descent clinical salary but i'd be eating shit if i tried to pull a note like that.  of course there are guys doing well on here...but i'm betting 95% couldn't handle it either.

anyway...any new scoops?
