as 240 fast approaching 50,000, what would be considered an accomplished poster these days in terms of post numbers? ::)

I agree. Maybe with dumbbells tied to the nutsack.

I took an extended break from Getbig and when I returned I couldn't believe the number of posters (both new and old) with posts counts well beyond 10,000.

Pipe down noob.

 :D

stella is so hot when she talks like one of the boys :D

as far as the cats with the most posts go... it is a pretty arbitrary number.  some try to deliver with every post, while others will post drivel just to drive their count up.

Obviously the thing to do is to create an account 2 - 3 years earlier. So even with your a hundred posts a day, you'll still have a tiny daily average.

For a fact, it's not the norm on getbig to write novels in your posts.

When 80% of your posts consist of only a smiley or one or two words, it's not a problem to go to 10,000 in a few months.

Big Dicked Bob is a good example, he posts a few smileys in every thread on the board.

It's taking me forever to get to 10,000.

A smiley here and there and you're fine.

Didn't Squadfather and all his other accounts write pretty long posts and still gathered a good amount of posts.

I got only 3,066 plus this one but everything I post is honest and beyond any reasonable doubt plus I refuse to participate in name calling events over the net unless we're standing face to face within punching distance.

So that keeps my tally reasonably low.

But I got more friends in the movie business (and that includes Grant) than OnlyMe. And that alone is one hell of an accomplishment. And I think I know more about that business than even Dr Chimp. (Possibly)

I have no idea why I added that!

This is my third gimmick, so my count will never get too high

My first gimmick is 240, second is blockhead

A lot of us have farmed out our accounts to india. It's just more cost effective that way.

Don't be modest stunt. You know more about the business than I ever will. I'm just a huge movie fan is all.

I average 13.8 posts a day and I've been here since Feb of 04 , Fat Dave was averaging 35+ a day and with just his known gimmicks he had well over 50K posts , he beats all of us , some of his posts were long but not all and I think I have the record for longest post ever biggest loser I found GetBig's threshold combined with the post I replied too I had OVER 24K characters  :-X  :-X

Post quality? I have been a member of this board for over 6 years and I am still far away from having 10 K posts.

Ahahah, it would be fun to employ 10 indians running 50 gimmicks spamming the board for a few months.

OK, MOS! Name four of the principal stars in The Perils of Pauline and the role I played in it.

And what happened to the Star who played the Pauline part shortly thereafter?

And who 'played' the voice of Disney's Cheshier Cat?

And who was the female voice for Tony Curtis in Some Like It Hot?

And who usually played the dead motorcycle guy on the road in 2nd features. (Easiest one).

Probably the toughest movie trivia questions ever asked, but DOC will probably get it half right.

But you're damn good if you can answer just one.

Since you're not, like, 150 years old, I'm guessing you don't mean the silent serials but the '60's movie. I've seen it, and it's kinda silly '60's schlock, but it did have your friend Edward Everett Horton in it. He was in so many of those great 30's and 40's movies. Don't know. Don't know. And I know you played the dead motorcycle guy on the road ('cause you've mentioned it before).

Oh, and I saw that biker movie with Joe Namath and William Smith again last week -C C and Company. Oh brother. Top shelf fromage.

I feel pretty weak , as mine is a mere 3,526 posts TOTAL or 1.27 a day avg.
Been posting here under my real name "Howard" for 7 1/2 yrs.
Some say I post too much but consider my avg is only 1 and 1/4 posts per day, that is wrong hehe.
I wonder if their is any relationship to the number of posts vs a happy, productive life?  ???

Fuck! That's speaks tons about how boring you are. Feels like you post about twenty times more. Maybe it's due to the fact that you constantly rehash the same shit.
