I'm always blown away how someone figures out how to make things like this. The person that figured out :) looks like a happy face felt like a genius, and then shot himself after seeing something like this

Let this be a lesson to all those taking risks to win bodybuilding titles. No matter who you are you will be mostly forgotten in 30 years time. Chuck was a Mr America IFBB and Mr Universe. He was a judge when I won Mr Canada in 1970. I saw him do three slow reps with 375 in the bench press. The magazines claimed he was approaching 600 pounds for a single but I have doubts he was that strong. Chuck was a nice fellow. He was a married man in 1970 and when he did his strength feats he had the MC read out passages from the bible. "My God, my strength!" After the contest we had a party at my place and I can tell you Chuck was very pleased with the attention he was getting from the local gals. The guy had pretty big forearms and used to go out in the woods logging. We were all impressed when we saw his photos in those days. A real he-man.

Mental illness took his life

So what if he committed suicide? Depression can do that to some people. I have known two top Aussie bodybuilders from the 70s who committed suicide. Chuck was respected in bodybuilding circles and also in his work. He was a fairly quiet guy.
